Great for the price!!! And not to BIG!!!!!
I was only going to give these forearm braces four stars until I remembered how inexpensive they were! The reason I was thinking more along the lines of four stars was I thought the Steele bars could have been wider or even better more of them. But as mentioned above I remembered how inexpensive they were and gave them a five star rating. I picked mine up to accent a medieval costume & they look great!!! Since I am not using them for sparring or to actually block a sword blow they will work quite nicely. I put them on my bare arms & they were snug, I have seen in other reviews that the buyer thought they were loose & meant to go over clothing but I think that it all depends on the size of your forearms. As I said I wore them on my bare arms & did some chores & they stayed right in place with activity fitting snugly without impeding blood flow. Its funny I thought they looked like a Batman suit accessory but with medieval armor they don't remind you of Batman but look like something you would see on a knight. The black color makes for a nice contrast with silver armor & I think that with these on I will have just enough room for some short gauntlets I have had my eyes on. I am sure if these were worn with a Batman outfit they would scream Batman...but it is all a matter of context because with medieval, armor on they scream ass kicking knight! Best bracers available at this price & if my chainmail shirt was long sleeved they would be great for functional use because you block sword strokes with your blade not your forearm! They would definitely detour someone from trying to grab your sword or dagger arm! Alright I have read multiple reviews stating these are to big!!! They are not!!!! I am only 5 foot 7 inches tall I took a piece of string & measured my forearm & its only 14 inches around near the elbow & 8 & a half inches by the wrist. I am by know means a weight lifter with a bulky physique as a matter of fact at 48 years old my wife tells me I have lost a lot of mass since we met 20 years ago. I am not fat I still have a six pack, I have a 33 inch waist & a 48 inch chest & weigh 185lbs & there are a lot of guys around that make me look like a Hobbit! If these are all the same size I think they should fit the average man pretty well & big men will find them to tight! I think I am probably a good representative of a average sized man not to thin, not to fat definitely not to tall but not overly short either.

Cosplay, not battle ready.
I got these for a custom cosplay costume and let me tell you, they are PERFECT. Now, are they battle ready? Hell no. If you're looking for battle ready this product is not for you. The blades are spot welded on the corners with about 3/4 mm space between the metal plate and the blades. As expected (per reading other reviews) the part of the cuffs closest to my wrists are slightly loose, and pretty snug closest to the elbow, but that was expected, as I am not the Dark Knight, lol. They are perfect for what I bought them for, which is show. And at less than twenty dollars, you'd e crazy to pass the deal up. Five stars all the way!

Would Recommend
Solid blades that look badass, with decent quality in the overall construction. Leather was in good shape. The elastic straps are a bit large (my build on the slim side of average, but one would need to have Popeye arms for a snug fit with just the elastic straps), but the leather buckle helps with that. On the plus side; it will fit comfortably over whatever you're wearing underneath.I'm modifying mine (a lot) for my Halloween Batsuit, and the metal strips on the outside help with that, since I can connect things to them without damaging the leather. All in all, these things were great, especially for the price.

Real Batman gauntlets!?!?
Good product but a bit big. You’d have to be a seriously big person for this to fit you right. Will have to mod it to get to fit properly. Also blades were completely dull, but are very sturdy and can be sharpened.

Not bad.
Shipped VERRY fast as usual with all my orders, the blades are well constructed and can be sharpened if needed. They do fit a little big with bare arms but are meant to be worn over something, (arms wraps) or such. My only problem is the leather which I believe to be is simulated dried out and pretty much dissolved when i handled them after sitting in its box for a while. I would recommend using a conditioner or moisturizer to keep this from happening.

Just Plain Awesome!
Ordered two pairs for a friend and myself ( him being a huge fan of Batman!) and neither of us were disappointed! Fit was a little big but I have thin arms so an average size male will have no problem with them! For the price, quality materials and construction, arrived just as pictured, and in a timely manner (before the zombie apocalypse!). my brother saw them and ordered a pair himself, and he never buys anything frivolous! Highly recommended! Enjoy!

With Slight Modification, Becomes Awesome Accessory to Upgrade Batman Costume!
The straps fit real loose on your forearms, unless you're Popeye. So my wife cut all the elastic straps in half and then resowed them on. Simple needle and thread work. After that, these were boss. They totally upgrade any Batman costume. I work with kids, so be mindful of your periphery, because if any of them are right at your hip when you turn around you might nick em' in the head. They're not sharpened, but the edges are squared off and have the potential for harm. It's real cool clanging them together getting that metal clash sound when you clang them together. For the price, so totally worth it!

what a piece of crap. One of the bracers was cracking right out ...
Wow, what a piece of crap. One of the bracers was cracking right out of the box. The other started delaminating/shedding/shredding upon first wearing. Cheaply made out of thin garbage materials. The only part of the product that feels solid are the metal fins. Needed these for a party & didn't have time to get a different piece. Didn't bother returning because they were so shredded up I highly doubted that they would have accepted it back. No chance they'd survive a second wearing. Avoid like the plague. What a waste of money. =P
