I have been playing golf since I was a kid and am pretty much self taught. I am a mid 80's golfer but am frustrated on a given day by inconsistent ball striking (as are most golfers probably). I put this grip on a a six iron I got for cheap on line because I didn't want it on a club I have in my bag when I play (by the way the instructions included with the grip recommend putting it on a seven iron which I don't think was mentioned in the grip description). I immediately noticed that the hand position (grip) I would have taken (especially my left hand) was off from what the Leadbetter grip dictated (rolled to the left, which is too weak I believe). Even though my hand position felt a little odd I just trusted it and immediately and consistently hit the ball straight. The best thing is that my grip is now repeatable from day-to-day making for more consistent ball striking. I keep my Leadbetter club in the family room where I occasionally pick it up just to reinforce proper hand position on the club. My son who is just learning the game also uses it. I wish I had found this product years ago as the proper hand postion on the club is truly the first step to better shots. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Large is actually oversize, but great training tool *by C***O on Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2013* Golf Pride David Leadbetter Training GripI used this when I first started golf by taking lessons from a PGA instructor. He grabbed one of these so I could learn the proper Vardon grip. It must have been the small size because this "Large" was marked "Oversized" and feels kind of big on my hands. I normally wear "L" gloves, so I fit the L/XL glove criteria for the Leadbetter grip, but I think the Small size grip might suit those with S-L gloves, while the oversize/Large is more suited for those that have XL or larger gloves.Basically it forces you to use a right handed vardon grip. It was easy to install and requires you to supply your own grip tape and solvent. Don't simply slide it onto a shaft or it will move around on you.The grip is actually made by Golf Pride and is of excellent quality.Overall: 5/5 stars, the sizing could be explained better.
