Based on my experience WatchMaxx is a good bet for MarketPlace service. Watch arrived in AM of 25 June, six full days ahead of Amazon's earliest estimate in a seven day window. Good to have FedEx back on my front porch. All expected parts and papers arrived soundly packed. Reservations? Hoping the thing doesn't fall apart a day after warranty expires! Not likely with a Swiss Made Hamilton. My first one was from parents for HS graduation in 1959.

Big, runs down quickly, but so far I like it.
My L. L. Bean field watch died & couldn't be fixed, so shelled out for a Hamilton. (Hamilton used to make the Bean field watches, but Bean's been cutting corners lately.) The Hamilton (the one I got, not all of them) is a lot bigger than I expected, but I'll get used to it. The strap is lighter in color than I would have preferred, but I'll get used to that, too. My only real complaint after having it a month is that, being an automatic self-winder, it runs down if you don't wear it every day. I'd prefer a battery, or even manual winding. Haven't really tested its water-resistance, but I can wash my hands without taking it off, and the crystal doesn't fog up, so it's at least that resistant.

They sent the wrong watch originally, but expedited the correct one in a timely manner. Watch is great. Only downside is that YOU DO NOT GET A FILLED OUT WARRANTY CARD AS THIS IS A GREY MARKET DEALER! This is common, nothing against the seller!!

Die Hamilton H70555533 ist meine erste Automatik-Uhr. Das schwarze Zifferblatt mit den weißen Ziffern und Zeigern ist gut ablesbar. Die Datumsanzeige befindet sich in der klassischen 3-Uhr-Position. Die Uhr ist relativ flach und hat mit ihren 42 mm Durchmesser für mich genau die richtige Größe. Das Uhrwerk ist mit einer Gangreserve von 80 Stunden angegeben, so daß die Uhr auch mal einen Tag oder auch zwei nicht getragen werden muß. Im Vergleich zu meinen Funkuhren geht diese Uhr am Tag drei bis vier Sekunden vor, was für eine mechanische Uhr dieser Preisklasse ein sehr guter Wert ist. Das Lederarmband macht seine Sache gut, ist aber ein Verschleißteil. Eine Sache gefällt mir nicht so gut: Das Zifferblatt ist im Bereich der Ziffern etwas angewinkelt. Dadurch entsteht bei schräg einfallendem Licht ein Reflex, der wie ein Fettfleck auf dem Glas aussieht. Wenn sich die Uhr als dauerfest erweist, ist sie zu dem hier aufgerufenen Preis von etwas über 400 € eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
