I chose Corsair memory because they are a reliable brand and make great computer products. I also happen to use Corsair Vengeance memory in my desktop PC that has always been good to me. So, I decided to go with Corsair once again.I originally bought the 8gb memory upgrade from here at Amazon, installed, and everything was working great for about a day or two. I put my macbook pro (2011) dec edition to sleep, came back and bam! Kernel panic error and was forced to reboot, only to get the same error message again and be forced to reboot. I couldn't even run a memory test but obviously faulty ram was the cause of my issues. I removed the Corsair memory and noticed there was an imperfection on one of the RAM contacts that I believe was causing my problems. Luckily, I held onto the stock samsung memory and returned the defective memory to Amazon.Amazon immediately processed my return and I ordered the same 8gb upgrade from Corsair here at Amazon again. I installed, ran memtest86 and let it run for almost 25 hours that included 14 full passes and ZERO ERRORS. So once again Corsair does it again, another great quality product.....at least the second time around! Thanks Amazon and thanks Corsair! You both rule!Also, the 8gb upgrade makes a noticeable difference when running multiple applications. My macbook pro is much snappier and able to multitask much faster with many programs open at once. Buy Corsair, upgrade the memory yourself (instructions are included in the macbook manual) and don't get ripped off by paying the $200 for Apple to upgrade your RAM!

I was completely out of space on my 2011 Macbook Pro. I did some research online and found that you can increase the memory (RAM) of the computer by ordering new chips to be put in with higher GB space. After looking online at different brands and reviews, Corsair seemed the best to me when comparing it with others. This item shipped out the next day and arrived fairly quickly. I was able to find a link on Apple's website that demonstrated how to do the upgrade step by step. It took me no longer than five minutes to switch out the old memory for the new one. It has been a few hours that I'm using my computer with the memory and I have noticed that not only do my applications open quicker, overall my computer is also working faster and no longer lagging. One thing I was uncertain of, but took the risk regardless, was if my documents/files would be deleted once I switched out the memory. Thankfully, changing the RAM does not affect any of the documents you have in your computer. Everything was there after I completed the switch! This was a great price. Saved me from having to buy a new computer, yet it still works like its brand new!The picture is to show you what the packaging is like, I taped my old memory chips on to the back and the packaging got a little ruined. I installed OS El Capitan on my 5 year old MacBook Pro and then got the dreaded spinning rainbow. Every app I opened took FOREVER. So I cleaned up the computer, got things off the desktop, etc., etc. Tried 10 things then read about installing more memory and thought it was worth a try rather than buying a new computer. I looked up how to upgrade up to 8 GB on the apple website. I have never been inside a computer before so I gave myself an hour to fix it, but it took me less than 5 minutes to upgrade. The directions are OK, but understand that the two cards sit right above one another and need to both be removed at the same time. And now everything opens immediately, switches between apps immediately. This was a very inexpensive and easy way to fix a very aggravating problem.

The Corsair Memory cards to bring my MacBook Pro 13-Inch Late 2011 from 4GB to 8GB proved to be a noticeable enhancement. My Activity monitor was reading 4.99GB out of 8GB now while I had Safari and FaceBook opened at the same time. This memory upgrade eliminated the so called 'Spinning Wheel' while working on my Mac with OS High Sierra. Very simple to install after watching a YouTube Video, and issue you shutdown you unit and use a static free table top ( wood ), and take your time. Total removal and install was less than 10 mins.

Zippidy-doo-da ... has transformed my early-2011 MacBookPro laptop into a speedster. I had been running with 4 gig memory (2x2) from the outset, and today just upgraded to 8 gig (2x4) with these Corsair chips.Easy as pie to swap the old ones with the new ones. Took me less than 10 minutes. Watch a Youtube video or two just to make sure you follow the simple steps.Had I known this old Mac laptop could run so fast, I wouldn't have waited 7 years to get around to this simple upgrade. Well worth the $$$. Over the years, my old faithful laptop seemed to get getting slower and slower, spending far too much time showing me that blasted spinning beachball.As of now I no longer feel the need to consider getting a new one, since this old one feels like new. Running High Sierra 10.13.3, multiple open high demand apps at once, internet ... frankly, I didn't know our home wifi was actually able to be this fast and responsive. Who knew?If you've got a similar kind of situation on your hands, I can readily recommend this as a solution. These Corsair chips were sealed/packaged in high quality blister card and were clearly brand new.

Este kit de memorias se instalaron en una Apple Mac mini Mid-2011 y definitivamente se pudo observar el aumento en la velocidad de la máquina, ya que no es requerido que utilice memoria virtual del disco duro. No se han presentado problemas de estabilidad y la máquina las reconoció al instante. Honestamente me hubiera gustado haber comprado el kit de 2 x 8 GB ya que los 8 GB me quedan muy exactos y con frecuencia tiene que estar comprimiendo alrededor de 1 GB de datos para no saturar la memoria RAM. Corsair siempre ha sido líder en memorias y esta vez no fue una excepción. Volvería a comprarlas y las recomendaría sin problemas.OJO: Aunque diga que son Mac Memory, es imperativo revisar los tiempos o timings, la frecuencia y el voltaje para asegurarse de que no haya problemas (en este caso es 9-9-9-24, 1333 MHz y 1,5 V respectivamente). También revisen la máxima cantidad de memoria RAM admitida por su máquina. También traten de comprar kit de memoria si van a usar más de dos módulos, ya que esto asegura la estabilidad de los módulos de memoria al trabajar juntos en dual channel.

Product arrived quickly, and very well packaged. No chance of defect. It was easy to install on my iMac Mid 2011, and it seemed to turbo charge my system when I logged in. Very happy with this purchase.Make sure you refer to the installation instructions (Click the apple in the upper left corner, then About this Mac, then the Memory tab, then Memory upgrade instructions) prior to turning off your system (and letting it cool for at least a half an hour) if this is your first time. You have to remove the bottom panel, and then pull (somewhat hard) on that plastic tab which will pull out existing memory in that particular bay..

Las puse yo mismo, es muy sencillo en un MacbookPro finales de 2011. Dicen que con i5 se puede poner hasta 16 gb, yo le he puesto lo que recomienda apple como máximo para mi máquina y creo que es absolutamente innecesario forzar más el procesador. Amplía igual que si pones 16gb la gráfica, siendo un máximo de 512mb. dedicados. Va muy bien el ordenador. Lo recomiendo al 100 por cien. Con estos 8gb va de sobra. Aumenta la velocidad de cualquiera de los procesos.Estupenda calidad y un 11 al servicio de Amazon.
