Perfect.While I, myself, have only appreciation and praise for these practical and elegant utensils, I have (with strained patience) also read the critical reviews:Therefore, selecting just one example, I would like to recommend to the disparagers of the so-called “too large” spoon, that they forgo the rigors of camping for the delicacies of high tea with raised pinkies, and the spreading of condiments with diminutive mustard spoons—this should make these easily offended nitpickers feel safe from the big-bad spoon monster.So, if your looking for a truly outstanding product (and a beautiful one, to boot), go ahead and purchase GSI cutlery without hesitation. And, if your also looking for a good laugh, look no further than the sniveling, pouting, crybaby reviews.Happy camping in the Great Outdoors.(There...I feel much better now.)Thomas Zarnek, McHenry IL ### ⭐⭐⭐ New model but NOT an improvement.... *by C***D on Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2018* These are MY opinions and observations...I deducted one star for an outdated photo here on A_Z that still shows the metal biner.One star deducted for also showing the sharp tined fork.I bought 2 new sets of these camping utensils because someone I loaned a pair to failed to return them and I needed some for loaners.………….. The good points...…………The quality of metal appears to be the same as what was used in their precious sets. These are nicely heavy utensils.The overall length of the utensils is 6 1/2 inches.Not bad price wise.....................The bad points.............I DO NOT like the new, blunt tines on the fork. If you can't trust a customer with sharp objects or you are worried about poking holes in equipment in a pack, why include a knife?The piece of string and plastic that replaced the biner of the past is a sad thing. If they were going to get rid of that nice, metal biner, Why couldn't they have done it with a case or bag of some kind to keep the utensils in.--The BIG detractor form this set and many of the competitors sets are the cutouts in the handles of the utensils... The cutouts can harbor particles of food that could make you sick if not cleaned well enough... This is why I buy metal camp utensils and plates and BOIL everything............Overall.........This or just an OK set of utensils but I personally will not purchase any like these again... If you live in an area where there are Army/Navy or Army surplus stores, look for a set of their GENUINE stainless mess utensils.. The last ones I found cost 5 bucks and were well worth the price. ### ⭐⭐ Poor Construction *by A***C on Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2022* The spoon is very large like a shallow table spoon ("big spoon") rather than the little spoon I was expecting for camping gear. This spoon is a bit too big to fit comfortably in my mouth but will probably be useful for stews and such with big chunks.My main gripe is the FORK. It was cut poorly leaving strange squared edges on the points of the tines. These edges are very sharp and act like a barb on a fishhook - they grab the food and mangle it when you try to get the food off the fork. It is not so comfortable in the mouth, either. I can try to grind them down but that seems like a lot of work for a fork. I will just steal one out of my kitchen :/The knife is a bit smaller than a butter knife but very sharp like a steak knife. Doubt I will take it camping as it does not nest with the rest because it is straight. The fork was bent when it arrived, and after bending it back it does nest pretty well with the spoon.
