Impressive Hyacinth Bean Seeds for a Flourishing Garden! 🌱🌸
Here's why these seeds deserve a glowing review: 1. Abundant Seeds: The pack contains a generous 100 seeds, ensuring I have plenty to sow and share with fellow garden enthusiasts. 2. Stunning Climber: The Dolichos Lablab vine is a fast-growing climber that reaches up to 96 inches in height. Its deep green foliage with a hint of purple adds elegance to any garden. 3. Bi-Colored Flowers: Come mid-summer, the vine bursts into bloom with purple and white bi-colored flowers. These fragrant blossoms attract delightful visitors like butterflies and hummingbirds. 4. Electric-Purple Seed Pods: As if the flowers weren't enough, the striking electric-purple seed pods steal the show. They add visual interest and make for great conversation starters. 5. Perennial Potential: In USDA zones 9 - 11, this vine can be a perennial, gracing your garden year after year. For other zones, it grows as an annual climber. Planting Tips: - Preparation: Some gardeners recommend nicking the Hyacinth Bean seeds with a knife and soaking them in water for 24 hours before sowing. - Timing: Plant the seeds directly outdoors once the danger of frost has passed. - Attract Wildlife: Not only do these seeds create a beautiful display, but they also attract butterflies and hummingbirds.

Free Food, Mulch, and Compost Nearly Year-Round in 9b
Plant these if you want free food, free mulch, and free compost forever. Healthy plants will shade out anything you plant them near. Fresh leaves smell and taste great. Eat the leaves raw, or cook them like any other green. The kinda hairy texture persists even after cooking, but the taste is worth it. IMO growing them for beans isn't really worth it, but the flowers are pretty. Remember that they're light-sensitive - they'll only start blooming once the days start shortening again, or unless you stress them out. Also, continuously trimming them keeps them in regrowth mode - they'll keep focusing on new growth instead of reproducing. So if you want it to flower, leave it alone. If you want free salad, mulch and compost all spring, summer and fall then trim away.

Disappointing. Will not buy again.
Zero flowers or pods to harvest for next year. Very disappointing. I plant in several different areas as well, some full sun, some partial sun. Nothing from any of them.

Super fast growing! Beautiful delicate flowers! Bright purple seed pods!
I was a little hesitant ordering seeds from Amazon, but these were definitely the exact seeds I ordered. These are SO easy to grow and these particular seeds grew super FAST as soon as I planted them! Literally in a few short days after planting, they sprouted & have just taken off & are growing crazy fast still! Getting ready to have my first flowers bloom here shortly & can't wait to see the purple pods! Butterflies, Hummingbirds and Bumble Bees LOVE the flowers! These are great climbers - I have them along my patio fence. They are super easy to grow & maintain - the only thing you will want to make sure you do is have things for the vines to climb at varying intervals, so the vines don't wrap around eachother into 1 big 'rope' of vines. Highly recommend for anyone - super easy to grow & an absolute beauty with delicate flowers that are multi shades of purple and the bright purple seed pods look like big fat sugar snap peapods! I get compliments all the time from my neighbors, friends, folks passing by.... Tip: when the peapods are fully grown and dying off, save the pods, pop out the seeds and store the seeds over the winter to plant next year. Drop the seeds in the ground, cover, water & enjoy these beauties again next year! This particular variety I bought this time have red veins on the underside of the leaves & they are so lovely!

Slow but steady.
I wanted to provide an update to an earlier review. I previously stated that the plants didn't grow hardly at all. They actually did grow pretty large but very slowly, faster after a month or so. No flowers and not all seeds worked but many did. I would buy again given the end result with these.

Excellent germination!
Excellent germination. On Tuesday I nicked and soaked for 24 hours. Wednesday I placed them in a wet paper towel and ziploc bag. I put the bag in a warm sunny window and on Thursday all are sprouting!
