An Alternative Sweating Problem...GONE!
Of all the reviews I have ever left on Amazon, this one has to be not only one of the earliest postings after receiving the product, but also one of the most satisfying to write. I want to start off by saying that surprisingly, I don't sweat under my arms excessively, ever. In fact I don't really sweat under my arms at all. I can work outside all day and use some dollar store brand of anti perspirant and come away at the end of a hot day with at the most, a slight dampness under my arms. It's truly the only place on my body where I don't sweat. I wouldn't have any use for this product if that was the end of the story, but its not. My problem is sweating on the face and forehead. Even in a situation where it is rather cool and dry and everyone around me seems to be comfortably settled in with dry hair and faces, it at times can be pouring off me, sometimes relentlessly, for hours even. Anyone that has ever had such a problem well knows how embarrassing and unsightly this can be. Any "solution" to the problem in the past ran the gamut of stuffing my pockets with paper towels to just making excuses for not showing up for some event or whatever when you know its going to be unbearably hot. Over the years I have tried many drug store brands of so called super powered sweat controlling anti perspirants just to have them be relentlessly ineffective and a waste of money. It is, and has been a problem that I thought up till now had no solution. Then I discovered Sweat Block.. Sweat Block, (SB) has been so effective for me for this problem that it almost qualifies as a miracle drug. In fact its only by the favor of excessive sweating never actually killing anyone that keeps it out of that miraculous category. SB is nothing more than some highly concentrated formula of aluminum chloride or something or other that is found in many anti perspirants. But trust me, the similarity ends there. They don't work,....This does, fantastically. The box comes with 8 sealed towelettes that are soaked with the formula that you tear open and dab on your skin. It's clear, near odorless, and dries in a jiffy. Just to get the facts straight, SBs instructions clearly state that it's for "underarms only". But after reading the dazzling reviews of this stuff here I just couldn't resist. I figured the worst that could happen is that I would lose $20 and end up looking like the sweating slob I always do under the mildest of conditions. From the very first morning after applying it, it was obvious that this stuff was as superbly effective as most of the glowing reviews here attest too. I simply stopped sweating, period. When pushed to the limit of activity or heat, a slight dampness or "sheen" would appear on my face that was not at all long lasting, nor embarrassing. I felt like a new man. I have been actually going out of my way to sweat and enjoying the dryness that I am so unfamiliar with. It is important that you use this product as described in the directions. Your underarms/head should be dry, and remain dry for at least 3 hours after application. (Which is the reason why they recommend applying it just before bed). Given these simple rules, I can only tell you this stuff is as effective and satisfying as anything I can ever remember purchasing in a personal hygiene category. As for being a renegade and using it on my forehead and face as opposed to my underarms, I can only tell you that personally I have suffered absolutely no tingling, redness, rash, or anything else detrimental with my alternative use. Despite Sweat Blocks explicit but simply stated warning that its for underarm use only, I feel compelled to recommend it to anyone that suffers such a problem as I do. (And I know I am far from alone with it). It's worth a shot and one time expense, I promise you. One last helpful hint. As stated already, SB comes in sealed packets as a moist towelette. I don't know if its that my forehead or face is smaller than a pair of underarms, or that I am just cheaper than the average Joe in trying to use the towelettes twice. But in any event, I have learned that dabbing my face with the pads and then just resealing the still moist towelette inside the packets again tightly with tape or a paper clip has afforded me double the use of each pad, with no reduction in its effectiveness. I simply tear open the packet, apply, reseal it, and then use the same towelette 5 days later and one box lasts near 16 weeks instead of 8. (Like a lot of others here, I like the 5 day rule of reapplication instead of the promised seven, just to make sure). This may not work for all people depending on how bad your sweating problem is. But for me personally, double use has just added an extra smile of satisfaction to an already stunningly effective product. This cost saving (cheap) test run on yourself may be very much worth trying as well. In conclusion, whether your problem with sweating is on your face or head, or just the sentimental favorite underarms, I give Sweat Block my highest recommendation. This product has been a Godsend to me, and it just may be to you too... : )

Hallelujah!
After trying every product I could purchase from the store (including but not limited to men's deodorant, women's deodorant, prescription strength "Certain Dry" and everything else in between), I finally turned to the internet in a last-ditch effort to wear any color other than black. I stumbled across this product and, although skeptical at first, I decided to give it a shot. Holey Sweet Drypits, Batman! All joking aside, this product is finally the first that actually worked, with good reason why. While most deodorant products contain 9-10% Aluminum Chloride at best, this product contains 14% (which is 2% more than Certain Dry). Granted, you have to follow the directions on the box specifically in order for it to work: 1) Make sure your underarms are clean and dry. I used this product after I showered, but make sure not to shave right before or it will increase irritation (guys may need to clip their hair a little). 2) Put it on just before bed. This is the key step because you want to put it on when you have at least a 4-5 hour period of no sweating. 3) Walk around with your arms in the air until it drys completely. 4) Go to bed. If you like to sleep nice and warm, try to at least turn down the heating blanket, lower the thermostat, or remove a few layers of blankets so you stay cooler at night; Otherwise you may just sweat off the product before it gets a chance to work. 5) It will tingle and have a slight itch -- but this means it is working! I'm usually a light sleeper, but the one time that this itching did keep me up, I just took an ibuprofen tablet to block it out so I could sleep. No problemo, Amigo. Viola! Enjoy your ability to move your arms around, wear bight colored cotton shirts, and generally enjoy life again. Some notes from my experience directly: - You can get at least 3 uses out of each wipe if it is properly stored back in its original pouch, but by the 3rd use it is not as effective as the first time. - You can use this on your face (even though the directions say not to). I dabbed just under the corner of each of my eyes making sure NOT to get it too close where it could get INTO my eye. The next day my makeup did not run and make me look like a raccoon. Yay! Beware, however, that this product will make your skin extra dry, especially in sensitive areas such as the face. I would avoid using it on the face more than once a week. - Speaking of dry, I did develop a minor rash. I used the product several nights within the same week and after about the 3rd go, the back of one of my arms had a very minor, slightly pink, dry rash. Immediately cleared up with a little lotion. Just be aware if you paint outside the lines that more sensitive areas may dry out more easily. However, I have yet to develop a rash on my actual arm pit and I haven't had any issue since that first time. I would say this one is more my fault than the fault of the product. - The product becomes more effective with time. In my first week my sweating was so severe that, as the previous comment said, I had to use it three times to get the best effect. However, each week after that I only had to apply it on Sunday night to be fine for the rest of the week. - I still used deodorant each morning! Although the product helps with sweating, it does not help with smell. I am not a smelly person, but I have a lovely deodorant that helps hydrate and keep my underarms smooth. Plus it smells like citrus! - I run for long distances, and after using this product I did not sweat as heavily under my arms even after passing the 6 mile mark. - I mixed products. Although this product is the most effective, it is also the most expensive. If I ever had a week that was particularly stressful/athletic and I needed a minor mid-week boost in my sweat treatment, I used a little certain dry since I still had a bottle I previously purchased. Although it wasn't effective by itself, it seemed to work by being paired with Sweat Block. I hope this helps anyone who is interested in purchasing this product. Obviously, I highly recommend it and have given 5 stars according. I wish you the best of luck with your new sweat-free lifestyle. - The Artist Formerly Known as Sweaty

It works, I guess...
Let me start by saying that I admit my expectations or hopes for this product may have been a bit high. I do suffer from excessive perspiration or "cranial-facial hyperhydrosis". Mine is brought on by warmth or sudden increases in temperature. My job requires me to be outside most of the time. In the summer, just a short time in the sun under even light exertion would cause a fountain of sweat from my forehead & down my nose. In the winter, after being outside in to cold, walking into even a climate controlled room (68-73*F) would cause the waterworks to start. A co-worker once compared it to condensation on a can or bottle after bringing it out of the refrigerator into a warm room lol. Needless to say, this was embarrassing, as my job has me dealing with the public, and it was difficult to put my best foot forward. Much of the time, I'd be talking to people I'd never met & answering questions. You never get a 2nd chance to make a first impression. So it didn't matter how professional I was, or how much I knew, if I was a hot, sweaty mess & looked like I was about to die, it didn't inspire confidence. On top of that, once the sweating started, my self-consciousness & anxiety about it only made it worse: "am I sweating? Can they see me sweating? Is it more awkward to wipe my face or to just let it run?" I carry paper towels from the men's room in my pocket CONSTANTLY. For whatever reason though, I hate wiping off my sweaty mug in front of people. I'm not sure why; they know I'm sweating, I know I'm sweating, why not just deal with it? I'm telling you, social anxiety is no joke. So that's where this product comes in. Now to be fair, I knew my problem was bad, & I was desperate for a solution. So I also ordered Face Saver by Neat 3B (which I covered in a separate review). Didn't want to pin all my hopes & dreams to one product. So, for those unfamiliar with Sweat-Block, it's a wipe-based antiperspirant designed to eliminate excessive sweating. It's designed to be used on your underarms; in fact, the directions say to apply to your underarms ONLY. Oh well... Sweat-Block is designed to be applied at night before bed. The reason for this is because most people's sweat glands are not very active while they're sleeping, & it gives the product time to penetrate the skin & do it's magic, instead of being sweated right back off. The product states it will give you up to 7 days of protection with one application. So in a perfect world, 8 wipes would last about 2 months. Eh... I haven't seen results last that long myself. But then again, I'm also using it in a manner not indicated by the directions, so that's probably not Sweat-Block's fault. Application is simple; open the small package (it's like a wipe from a BBQ or chicken wing restaurant) and apply to the skin. Simply dab, or place the wipe on the skin, & press; DON'T RUB. It states that rubbing the wipe on the skin can cause excessive irritation. They're not kidding. I'm not sure how or why it makes a difference, but it does. Trust me. Once applied, go to bed & let it do it's thing. It dries fairly quickly, so no worries about it being rubbed off while you sleep. It's that easy. Now it is a strong antiperspirant, & states it can cause minor irritation (for which they recommend an anti-itch cream. But again, that probably applies to using the product on your underarms per the directions). Myself, I've never had too much of an issue with irritation from the product. When I wake up the next day after applying, my skin feels a little tight & drier than normal. I'd compare it to having a MILD sunburn. It doesn't hurt, per se. Just different. As far as applying goes, I read a description somewhere that the product possesses a "pleasant clove smell". That's an understatement. It smells like you opened a jar of cloves & stuck your nose in it. And you'll continue to smell it (because it's on your face) until you go to sleep. But fortunately, I haven't noticed the smell still hanging around in the morning. But if you don't like the smell, you may have a hard time with this product. As far as effectiveness, the product does what it says. It stops EXCESSIVE perspiration. It doesn't stop ALL perspiration. And I admit that perhaps my hopes were a little high. I knew I had a problem & was looking for a miracle. I don't believe that a product exists that will completely eliminate all sweating from my face. But this helped a lot. I never did get a full week of protection from it though. If I apply the product on Sunday night before the work week starts, I usually need another application Wednesday or Thursday night. I WILL say that the combination of Sweat-Block & Face Saver provides the most benefit. Face Saver is a gel designed to be applied in the morning. You simply apply a light layer of the gel to your face & let it dry. Easy enough. It gives me a little extra protection in case I missed an area with the wipe, or if that's the day the Sweat-Block application finally wears off. So, the first day or two after using the Sweat-Block, & the Face Saver every morning, tends to be my best days. All in all, I think this product lived up to it's claims. I think I was hoping for more, & therefore slightly disappointed that it wasn't the miracle I was looking for. But that's not the product's fault. You can't go buy apples & then be upset when you get them home because they're not oranges. ***A word of warning*** Sweating is the body's natural way of cooling itself through evaporation. It's a necessary evil, not just a hassle. I've never been a sweaty guy in any area other than my face/head. That changed when I started using these products. Preventing the sweat from coming out on your face simply creates a dam; it's still got to go SOMEWHERE. I've started sweating in places I've never sweat before; my back (lower back especially, I can feel it trickle down occasionally), feet, legs, palms. I even had droplets of sweat forming & running down my forearms at one point. Now I don't sweat all these other places at once, mind you. These are just the various locations it's popped up at different times. It's a small price to pay in my opinion, & I'd much rather do that since they're places that aren't typically visible. If you're going to try this or any other product to decrease facial sweating, just be aware of this potential consequence.

These work for hyperhydrosis
As a fellow hyperhydrosis girly who has tried everything from the medicated prescriptions to every antiperspirant at the grocery store these wipes WORK. I have always struggled with my sweating, and to finally find something that actually works brings me so much relief. Not only has it helped me not sweat but I also don't have odor. What I typically do is I shower at night and then apply a wipe, wake up the next morning and apply my usual deodorant. Then 2-4 days later I will do the wipe again, and after doing this a few times you can stretch to only needing to do it about once a week. I usually slip up and don't use them and then have to restart the process but even if you go a couple weeks not applying it, you will sweat less than you ever did before.

Try it out
I have a bunched of mixed feelings with this one, honestly. Would I recommend it? It depends on the person, I would try it out though to see for yourself. There isn't any residue left over, personally for me. But the product works best when 1) all hair is removed and 2) putting it on 10/15 minutes before bed and raising your arms making sure it fully dries. That's when the product worked best for me - and boom, there was no sweating for give or take 5 days. So, is the protection level there, I guess? I haven't dealt with any stickiness, but the scent of the wipe is super strong. For the price and the size of the wipes, and the amount you get it's good; it's worth it. Definitely try it out, because I've had a morning where I thought the product worked that last night, and I was in for an unpleasant surprise.

Only thing that has ever stopped my anxiety sweats! Highly recommend!
These work so well. I was genuinely surprised. I usually sweat due to anxiety and this almost entirely stopped it and it lasts for almost a week! I have sensitive armpits in general and can’t use regular antiperspirant only deodorant as a result. These wipes didn’t cause any irritation or flare ups. I only use them for certain occasions and have been 100% satisfied every time. It does have a strong scent on application but fades significantly by the morning and entirely after showering.

AMAZING PRODUCT! from Skeptic to believer!
I was very skeptical of this product at first glance because it has essentially the same ingredients as the clinical strengh anitperspirants that I buy. I normally use the clinical antiperspirants and I am already sweating before I even leave my apartment, sweating in the AC BEFORE I EVEN LEAVE. If I wear a dress shirt I always wear a cotton shirt underneath, but I usually sweat through both shirt within 1 hour. I have had a sweating problem for as long as I can remember, and now I have a job that requires me to dress nice for events that I have to work, and I am also a graduate student going for my Masters in Business, which also requires a lot of presentations in front of a class. I tried all types of antiperspirants and none of them would work. Sweat Block is very easy to use and you only dab a little towel on your underarms once a week and it works GREAT! This product has really changed my life! I have no irritation when I put it on as I read with other reviews, which is surprising since I have fairly sensitive skin. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and I have noticed that it works for about 6 days and then i start feeling slightly damp on the underarms. First application: Day 1 (I tested it hard, I was outside lifting speakers at work in 85 degree weather, and not one drop of sweat, I was absolutly amazed!) Day 2 (I went to a spa and had a herbal steam shower, and I figured it would mess with the sweat block, but to my amazment it did not) Day 3 (I went to an outdoor WEDDING, dressed up with a nice shirt and dress jacket in 85 DEGREE weather, and NOT A SINGLE DROP OF SWEAT!!!) Day 4 (I walked to work, which is roughly 17 blocks away, 90 Degree weather, and not a single drop of sweat on my underarms) Day 5 (Normal work day in the office, then a hectic day at the university, slighly damp at the end of a 16 hour day, but nothing to scoff about) Day 6 (Normal work day, slightly more damp than previous day, but only about 5% of what I would normally sweat before this product) I applied another towel on this night. In conclusion, this product is absolutly amazing! I know it might not even sound like much, but this has restored confidence in me that I havn't had in a while. If you are in need of a great antiperspirant, and have a sweat issue, then BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! (WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE IT'S ONLY 20 bucks for god sakes) UPDATE: (10/1/2012) I've already purchased this product about 3 or 4 times, and it works consistantly, I thought it might have a "tolerance effect" to where you have to use more in order to get the same results, but actually I find that now it lasts about 8 days for me :D Anyway i just wanted to add a few tips for those of you that purchase for the first time. 1.) If you have alot of underarm hair, trim that off, or shave, becase if you think about it, how is the stuff supposed to be absorbed by your skin if you have an underarm jungle. 2.) Take a shower before the application, and make sure the area is clean. 3.) Use right before you go to bed at night, i believe the box says let it dry for 5 min. (What I do is lay down with my arms up for about 15 min or so, if you can just sleep for a bit like that) If you follow these steps you will get more time out of each use. HAPPY TRAILS GUYS! Get the stuff, it does really work!

It works - most times (Look at pics)! Finally something that works after 30+yrs of underarm madness!
Update - the 4th and 7th wipe I used from this first purchase did not keep my completely dry; instead, they tempered the sweating so that it wasn't a soaking sweat as much as a slight dampness under my armpits. Not sure why it works completely sometimes but not all times, but still an improvement over doing nothing but suffering. I'm a 48yr old asian female who suffers from excessive underarm sweating. The 1st 2 pictures I've attached were taken at work in the morning after commuting in, not after exertion of any kind. I live in hoodies to hide these. I finally purchased the DermaDry Iontophoresis Underarm device 2yrs ago and after 6mths of almost daily use, it finally got my pits to stop waterfalling. And it was great from then on for about 6mths, until it just stopped working. I contacted DermaDry and it took them 2 wks of asking me to check all the wires and connections again and again before finally suggesting my skin had developed a resistance. I started adding baking soda to the water which got it to work again, but by then, my sweating was right back to pre-treatment levels and I haven't been able to get myself back on the treatment schedule needed to get to the sweatless phase. Iontophoresis is time consuming and tedious, even though "15 minutes a day" sounds like nothing. Desperate, I decided to finally try SweatBlock, not expecting it to work, or at least not for a few tries as noted in the instructions. But oh my goodness - I am so glad I took the plunge. The first time, I showered, wait for my skin to completely dry, and then wiped each pit several times until the towelette itself dried out. The next day, I was driving in 94 degree heat in direct sun and realized my right pit was completely dry! My left pit was sweating but not at its usual waterfall levels. By the 2nd day, both pits were dry and stayed that way for 7 whole days! The 2nd time, I made sure to really wipe each pit equally, letting them dry before wiping them again and again until the towelette dried out. And for the entire week, both pits stayed dry the whole day which had me checking my pits over and over again and again every day in disbelief. The only negative is that you feel the coating on your skin, like you put on an several heavy layers of deodorant that feel like they formed a sheet on your skin. Not that this is so noticeable to be distracting in any way. The 3rd time I used SweatBlock, I applied it on Sunday evening in preparation for the work week. The 6 pictures I've attached are after working out for 1/2hr on a StairMaster on Friday morning, 5 days after application. This is the 1st time I checked my underarms after a workout using SweatBlock and I could not believe my underarms were dry! I thought they would sweat under vigorous exertion but NO! It really works at all times! Not overstating it when I say this could be life-changing bc those of us who suffer from excessive sweating know the anxiety it brings to our lives. I highly recommend you try this. Make sure your skin is COMPLETELY dry before you use the wipes and let them air dry well.
