Long lasting for small dogs
I initially bought these in December, 2017, 8 years ago and they’re still holding up! I am now just going back to buy more because they have become a little loose the last year or so and we’ve lost a few. Hard to get on if your dog is finicky about their paws but you get the hang of it after a few times. Would highly recommend for ice, snow, salt and heat.

Not realistic for putting on furry foot
UPDATE: It's not worth the effort of 2 people struggling to attempt to put this over the dogs paws. Not ordering larger size after seeing product. Returning. Will purchase actual dog boots Velcro adjustable for winter freezing temperatures which is what's needed. Original post* our 38# Shiba inu mix senior dog - We just got these delivered. An extremely narrow tight opening of rubber with the recommendation on product video with 2 fingers pulling open is ridiculous. Too tight & my dog is patient but not that tolerant so after finally getting it pulled open enough her nails & fur sticks to the rubber inside and restricted putting it completely into "bootie" which yes is just a thick rubber balloon. Maybe rethink the schematic with a wider opening that 3/4 inch requires 2 people. Our dog is slender paw to leg so size isn't the issue. I shouldn't have to buy a Large size since measuring fits traditional small on chart. The overly tight band with a dog not comatose or obedient trained to stand/sit and patiently wait for human fingers to struggle pulling it open is beyond frustrating. My reason buying is a friend referral saying we use these but they have tiny dogs and had them since puppies and I'm guessing they're not questionable mature wise seniors like our rescue shiba mix at 11 yrs old wondering what the heck are you doing with my foot? *If I'm not able to get this balloon on my dogs foot with the wife & I together they're getting returned. No warmth ability for 10 degrees in ice & snow. They're just for wet, snow, ice mud protection. No way would I leave these on prolonged time in house for non slip since they're too restrictive tight for circulation. I wouldn't leave these on my dog for more than a few minutes going outside to potty in single digit winter weather because it appears they'll be overly tight on her leg and become restrictive of circulation. I'll update after another attempt. Also, they look like Bozo the Clown shoes with bright red. Maybe just advertise them for small, tiny dogs only regardless of the big paw size skinny opening doesn't made get wider. 🤦

Great product
This is my second time buying it. This rubber boots are much better than regular shoes for my dog. They stick well, and my dog got used walking with it pretty fast as she could feel the ground better than regular shoes. They can be reused many times, and they are very strong. I highly recommend this product.

Works well with some potential dangers
I purchased these based on the sizing chart and the paw part fit well, but the neck of the shoe was a little tight. This is great because they don't fall off and they even stayed on during a free run outside. I found them to be durable but I think it is important that your dog's nails are a little short or at least blunted on the end so they don't rip through. Getting them on was easy and they didn't slip around once on. For me personally I put these on my dog's foot at bedtime to keep her from licking a raw paw pad and antiseptic powder inside to keep it clean and dry. Sadly the tight neck of the shoe caused my dog's foot to swell and the rubber is very waterproof but it also means that water that gets on your dogs leg will follow the skin and get inside the shoe and cause damage. My dog was annoyed by the shoe and licked her leg above it which then dripped down into the shoe. Even if my dog did not have an injury to her paw I feel like wearing these with so much wetness inside would cause damage to her foot. I think these are best for short indoor stints like an old dog who slips or during a short walk and then take them off.

Acceptable, but may be too restrictive.
Tried many different booties and so far my dog doesn't mind these the most. I used to have these silicon booties with velcro for tightening, however she hated those. A dog who would run towards the door and get ready to go out wouldn't step out of her bed if she saw me holding those booties. Later on, I found out it was hurting her. I noticed her nails started to get dark as if they were bruising. So i decided to give these a try. Pros: 1. They aren't too expensive. 2. Do a decent job of protecting the feet from the elements. 3. My dog doesn't hate these as much as other ones. 4. She definitely runs better with these on. I think it's because she can feel the ground better. 5. Doesn't come off easily. Cons: 1. Very restrictive. I tried putting them on my fingers and it started to get uncomfortable pretty quickly. May help to stretch it out before use. 2. Durability is a question mark. Don't see them lasting too long. 3. While this may protect against the elements, probably will not protect her from stepping on sharp glass or anything of that sort. 4. Start sticking together (see video). but a little baby powder can fix that. 5. Sizing is off. Bottom of paw to tip of longest nail was like 1.8". So I first got the x-small. But it didn't fit so I got one size up. All in all, these are okay. I will be using these until I can find something better.

Great, durable booties to protect my dog's paws from winter salt
These work great for my little 8 lb terrier. They can be a bit tricky to get on, as it took me a few days to get the hang of just the best way to hold them open with a few fingers while guiding my dogs foot in with the other few fingers. It's still a bit tricky, as they sometimes snap off my fingers too soon when it's not all the way on my dogs foot, then I have to try and roll it up the rest of the way. In the end, we always get them on without too much trouble though. But I'm lucky in that my dog is very compliant and patient. She puts up with it calmly and just lets me put them on without too much resistance. I've known dogs who hate having their feet touched, and I don't think I'd be able to use these if my dog was like that. But I'm very happy that these are working for my dog. And they are durable. I've been using the same pairs for the last 2 weeks and so far they haven't ripped. Also, what I like about these, is that my dog is able to walk easily in them. I bought her another pair of rain boots that had more structure, and she couldn't figure out how to walk in them. Because these are just like little balloons, I think for my dog it still feels like she's just walking like normal because she can still feel the ground through them.

An improvement is needed to the boot
The dog boots were well-packaged, no defects. I ordered these in hopes to help protect my dogs paws for our icy day which was today, but the trick is getting them on when you have dogs that say "nope! ya not puttin' nuthin on my paws!" After a few attempts of trying to get them on, I said to myself, forget it. The main part of the dog boot looks big enough to fit my dogs paws, but the hole to insert the paw is very, very small which makes it difficult to get it on. I think that if they were made like a sock with a bigger hole and a piece of velcro to fasten it, it might not be a bad product. I'm not sure if sizing up would help because of the hole might be about the same size. I will likely be returning these and wouldn't recommend to others.

A Bootie Nightmare
Wow! I am severely unimpressed with the quality of this product. As was asked by someone on Amazon's Q&A page, yes, indeed, these are basically latex balloon material and nothing more. Some background... I was looking for some foot protection for my Golden Retriever who gets snow and ice stuck between her pads when winter arrives and we are outdoors. She doesn't seem to need insulation as far as warmth goes, but I always worry about the snow and the potential salts on walkways when we're out in the community. This seemed like an ideal solution. I was very wrong and should've heeded the warnings from some of the reviewers. First, the material is incredibly flimsy, but I was willing to give it a shot. These, however, are not easy to get on a dogs' paws. Even stretching them (like you would a balloon) before putting them on did nothing. I was not thrilled about having something so tightly fitting around her leg, but I figured I'd give them a chance since they'd only be on for a short time and not used daily. I may have been able to get over the tight fit (I understand why this would be done to keep them in place), but the quality is ridiculous. After having them on for about 10 minutes, the included photos of the "bootie massacre" were the results. It was absolutely an indication that these would not work for us. We didn't even get one solid use out of them, let alone getting any sort of reuse down the line. All four of the boots had holes and tears and one came off (impossible as that seemed to me at the start) while moving. I also tried another set on my Labrador (who doesn't suffer with getting snow stuck, but I thought they might just work as protection from salt) and they fell off of her after 30 seconds of walking. Literally just came right off as she was walking - and I'm frankly not sure how it happened because the fit around the securing point was quite snug. She also had holes in hers and, as stated, they were only on her for a few seconds before they came off. Perhaps for very small dogs these might work in VERY delicate use situations (maybe - though I can't imagine they'd be good for much of anything), but if a dog is of average to large size, I just can't see these as a viable option at all. Such a shame and a waste of money, but I would hate to see someone else buy these and think they would get multiple uses out of them when one use didn't even happen.
