Rubie's Marvel Avengers: Endgame Captain America 12" Shield (200405_NS)

My son (3) really wanted to be captain America for Halloween this year. We already had a costume that fit him perfectly, but didn't have the shield. I ordered this, hoping it would be small enough for his little arm, but also sturdy enough that it could get thrown around and handled with the delicate nature of twin 3 year old boys lol. I got this in the mail and was so thrilled at how thick the plastic is and the size of it. This totally went with the outfit perfectly and he was so so happy when he got to dress up in full costume and have his accessory. Totally recommend.

I wanted a light Captain America shield that I could attach to a hydration backpack for an upcoming OCR race because you might as well have some fun & I was planning on wearing a Captain America shirt too. This shield looks great in person & fit my needs better than my other idea (a sticker on a cheap pie tin). The straps to hold it like a shield don't appear to be the most durable material or attachment points, but that was not a concern of mine since I drilled some holes & used zip ties to attach it to the backpack.

So what's Captain America without his shield? He's just a super soldier in a super patriotic costume, right? That's just not going to get the job done against the evil Hydra agents out there. Do yourself a favor, buy the shield. That way your kids plays a little longer and enjoys the costume that much more. The shield is sturdy and won't break with pretend play. It's sturdy plastic. My 5 year old loves it and still plays with it months after Halloween. And that's always a plus.

Yes it is a kids toy and it's meant to be played with. I was kind of sad that it is small, but what do you expectwhen it says it's 12 inches. I know my nephew is going through a stage of loving Captain America and he doesn't really take care of his toys. So I am not worried. But my sister's dogs on the other hand may destroy it. So if you are looking a Captain America Shield and you don't mind if your kids or dogs destroy it. This would be your best bet. But other than it being small and not to sturdy it is well worth it.

It didnt seem cheap and my 4 year old loved it. He is looking forward to Halloween and can use it year round.

My boy loves it a lot light wait its seems really durable, the only thing the strip to hold it by the arm they are a little bit soft, it may come of on few uses but, it easy to re setting back again.

Smaller that I thought and feels cheap because of the material. but it got the job done.

Looks like the authentic shield. Grandson (4)loves it and throws it around just like in the movies. Has held up so far.
