Writes smooth on all papers.
Works best! Ink flow is smooth. Works best on all kind of pages. Best for signatures or remarks as well. Might not be that great for speedy writing like shorthands or exams. But is great for journaling, diaries, taking notes etc.

A Smooth and Affordable Fountain Pen
I bought this Jinhao X450 fountain pen for my wife as a gift and I was pleasantly surprised by its quality and performance. The pen has a premium feel and a rich look, with a medium nib that suits her writing style. The pen is comfortable to hold, although it is quite heavy compared to other pens. The nib quality is great for this price range, and it writes smoothly and consistently with no skipping or scratching. The outer body of the pen is made of a glass and metal composition, which gives it a glossy and elegant appearance. The most important part is that the pen is butter smooth with just the right amount of ink flowing through its medium nib, making it a joy to write with. My wife loves this pen and uses it every day. I would highly recommend this pen to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable fountain pen.

Love it
Happy with the purchase! Worth the money. I love the design, it is heavy and metal-built. Premium looking. Size is Medium nib so the strokes are quite larger than fine nibs. Writing and inkflow is smooth. Over all works nicely.

Not good enough if the price is considered... 100 rupee fountain pen writes better than this
Not great ink flow, very heavy, better as a show piece than a working pen

Good enough
Very nice ..good writing, smooth with medium sized nip, stunning body, strong barrel ,with a good amount of ink capacity, allover very functional pen, just a little bit heavy but I don’t mind it

Poor writing experience
The build quality and looks of the pen are fabulous. Even the grip and feel is great. But, the pen doesn’t do it properly what it is meant to do. Write!! The writing is like a cheap plastic fountain pen. It is neither fluid nor smooth. After a few sentences of writing the pen stops and dries up. Will need ‘jerking’ literally!! On the whole, totally disappointed! My misfortune, I tested this pen after the return window period is over. My suggestion to readers is to better go for reputed brands like Parker and others. Edit Review!! Pen writing smoothly but with some interruptions but better. Did some manipulation of the nib and the tongue. Much better thereafter.

A premium looking Fountain Pen for a lower budget!
I recently purchased this Jinhao 18KGP fountain pen and the experience so far isn't bad for a 500 rupee pen. I am very new to the fountain pen "industry" since this is my first time ever using a fountain pen and I was just inclined to buy this pen for the richness and the premium feeling that no other fountain pen on the market could offer for under 1000 rupees. Some people say that the heavy body of this pen make it really hard to write with but that is not true at all, I was comfortably able to fill up an A4 sized paper without my hands paining. My only issue with buying a fountain pen online was that I wouldn't be able to try it out which is why I ended up buying 2 pens, the Jinhao 18KGP, and the Parker Frontier Fountain Pen. The only difference between both of these pens is that the Jinhao pen nib is a medium size and Parker is fine/extra fine. After using it for about a week or two, I found the Parker pen to write better than this pen at least for my daily usage just because it was a fine nib which is a lot similar to a ball point/gel pens. On the flip side, the Jinhao didn't write as expected, the ink flow wasn't consistent and more ink was ejected towards the bottom of the letter as compared to the top. This didn't happen in the Parker fountain pen, and again, since this is my first time using these fountain pens, the inconsistent ink flow would have been normal for all other medium nibs. After using both of these pens, if your motive is to use these types of fountain pens as a signature pen or something that you rarely use (for example only signing documents, checks, and writing a line or two), then go for the Jinhao as it's medium nib will give you an awesome artistic signature but if you are buying a fountain pen for daily usage and that too for writing long letters, paragraphs, and essays, do consider one of the fine or extra fine pens. Since I bought only two fountain pens, I can't really comment on other models but te Parker pen, despite being better for daily usage and writing long paragraphs, its nib is really rough as commented by other reviewers; therefore, there might be better alternatives to an extra fine nib fountain pen but if your handwriting is larger than usual, the Jinhao medium nib would definitely fit your needs! Hopefully this review was helpful!
