Great value, great features, long lasting battery
Fantastic watch. My dad has had the same watch for 20 years and it’s still going strong on the original battery. He rarely uses the light feature to conserve the battery, but otherwise wears it daily. He wanted a new backup watch and couldn’t find a different model that had all the nice features this one has - date, day of the week, month, year, time of course, alarms, etc. all with a large easy-to-read display. So when I discovered the same model was still being sold we got it. As you can see in my photo, the old watch (on the right) with 20 years of daily wear still looks very good. The new watch is on the left. My dad is very happy with it!

Excellent product. It keeps time well, is easy to use, does what I need! And, for a very good price.
If you wear a watch as jewelry, if a Rolex or equivalent impresses people you want to impress, fine, spend your money and impress those people.... But, if you just want to know what time it is, this inexpensive watch does the job for me very well. It is accurate, easy to read in daylight or dark. It has functions that I rarely use, but I really like the "dual time zone" feature. I set the "dual time" to whatever time zone I am in, but leave the "primary time" set on my "home time zone" alone. This is simply great for air travel. At a glance, I can see local or home time. I've had a lot of watches, but this basic Casio works well for me. I got this one to replace an old Casio that I had scratched and beat up over the years working on cars, carpentry, exploring, etc... That old one still works, but this one is even better because the light is better, and numbers are larger and easier to read -- something I've come to appreciate as I get older. This watch is stainless, very durable, water resistant, keeps great time. And, the thing I love about it, I don't need to worry about it. I have some nice watches. One, for instance is a very nice gold watch, a special gift for special reasons. OK, fine for a wedding, I guess, but, mostly, they stay in a drawer. This watch is certainly not expensive jewelry. It just a simple, useful tool for me. If I lose it, or break it, or whatever, I can toss it out and get another one. One less thing to worry about. It is an excellent product.

FABULOUS WATCH FOR THE PRICE!
Worth every penny of the price. I like the way day, date, and time all appear on one screen at the same time. Easy to set. Big numbers are easy to read (in decent light). A fashionista friend commented that it looks like a vintage Casio, which apparently are "in," and fetch high prices if they were actually bought back when. I think this one looks a little chintzy because of that, but for the price, who is complaining. It keeps good time -- seems to be losing about 10 seconds a month. The backlight works well -- not so bright as to be disturbing, but good enough to read easily when you push the "light" button in a dark room. These LCD displays can be a bit hard to read in subdued light -- not just in near total darkness, so it is good that the backlight is available. My one disappointment is that the watch is just "water resistant." They claim it won't get ruined if you get caught in the rain, but it is not for water sports or other activities where it will get submerged. [UPDATE -- after 7 mos of wear, and a couple of hundred showers, it is still running perfectly! I have not worn it while swimming] If you need a more waterproof watch, select a similar Casio rated to resist water to a specified depth. Based on experience with similar Casio watches, the battery in this one should last at least 5 years (they claim 10), if you don't use the backlight too much. The alarm, stopwatch, and second time zone displays are handy, although the alarm may be too quiet to wake you from deep sleep, or to hear in a noisy environment. An available snooze feature can be set to keep bugging you if you don't respond at the set time. You also have some flexibility on having the alarm go off at intervals other than daily. The low-volume alarm can be a plus if it goes off in a situation where it could be disturbing -- you will hear it, but it won't be too disturbing to everyone else.

This is my third Casio watch in thirty years. The first was retired because its strap got full of paint. A generous soul took pity on me and offered me the same model. From the back of the drawer, this first watch still continued to tell the correct time for many years (except during Daylight Savings Time). For the second one, after ten years of good service, its adjustment buttons have become more capricious and an attempt to repair has been lethal to it. I found the same model on Amazon but unfortunately all I received was a message from the carrier advising me that the package had been damaged and that I would be refunded. The second attempt was no more successful, this time I got no message, but Amazon promised me a refund. A third attempt, with Prime next day delivery, was more successful, but delivered 5 days after the promised date. Too bad finally because the watch was $10 less at Walmart. The watch looks just as good as its predecessors. I recommend it but do not attempt to repair it or change the battery yourself. Also, check Walmart first and don't believe Prime delivery.
