Caution buying this product! Not happy!
I have an FAA repair station that works on aircraft parts. We cannot use any products that are expired. I bought this smaller tube since I never get through the expensive large tube before it expires. These are normally good for two years but the one I got expires in December so a year was already used up. I just recently opened it finally and even though the tip was new and not cut off, the tube was almost completely empty. It is 50 ml and I received less than 5 ml. Someone must have removed the new tip and squeezed most of the contents out. I will go back to buying the large $55 tube from a trusted source after this. This tube is brand new and I have to squeeze it almost completely flat to get a few drops out.

Loctite Products are worth every penny
This product is very nice to work with. A thin film does the job, and has low shear strength for easy separation of parts. Better than a gasket-cleans up easily.

A real worry
The product arrived from Henkel in India ahead of schedule. The tube says: "Shake well before use", so I shook and shook and no sound of movement, so I opened up the tube (it has a wide mount) and the sealant was so firm that it would not move. There did not appear to be any damage to the tube, indicating that air had gotten in. My intended use was to seal the rear and front cylinder heads on my 1/5 scale live steam locomotive, so once in place, the rear heads are a major, MAJOR task to remove should the sealant fail. I contacted Amazon who referred me to India. The Indians wanted photos of the product, so I emailed two photos of the external of the tube and two looking down the opening to the sealant inside. A few days later I received an email from India stating that as I had not sent the requested photos, they might offer a partial refund if I returned the tube. Amazon stepped in and instantly refunded the purchase price. I then ordered the Permatex equivalent from Amazon and it arrived promptly and worked as it should.

Peculiar
FYI, the product I received was in a package that doesn't match the picture. OK. No big deal, but the package is 2/3 air and 1/3 sealant. Why all the wasted packaging? And...my sealant was made in India. Not the US as the description says. It even has the price printed on it in rupees! This is clearly a grey market import.
