I'm glad he's finally getting his HEA!Julian Dane has made a lot of mistakes. He had a tough home-life with his father abandoning them when he was ten and his mother being an alcoholic who often left Julian to care for his much younger sister. It was once he was in college when everything in his life changed and the decisions he made not only with regard to his business, but also with regard to his friends, set him on a destructive path. Years later, Julian met a woman who he used in order to get information that he used to hurt someone from his past knowingly. It was after this episode that he hit rock bottom and realized he needed to make a huge change in his life.Kendall Parker finally has her life on track after her health issues landed her in a less than desirable position with someone that she really thought cared about her. She's working as a dog walker and at the local animal shelter while trying her best to concentrate on moving forward with her life, that is until the man that hurt her more than anyone else in her life ever had, shows back up. Her first instinct is to not even listen to a word he has to say, but Julian is persistent and he's not going to go away easily.Will Kendall and Julian be able to mend fences after all of the hurt? And if they are able to, will outside forces in both of their lives derail their relationship for the second time?Carly Phillips penned a quick moving, emotional, and all around fantastic story. I always know I'm going to get quality work when I pick up one of Carly's books and this one was no exception. I can't wait to see what she has planned for us next!

It's such a great addition to a series when you get the actual history of someone who you've grown to dislike very much. Julian was extremely troubled and gave Kendall, Kade and Lexie and extremely hard time in Kade and Lexie's book. Made you despise him with tremendous force.. But then you have an author who can tell a story with so much fierce that you fall in love with that villain. How does that happen???I loved seeing how much Julian had changed. He truly had a huge heart and lived with great determination. He needed to have Kendall back in house life, but want sure how that works work. He needed faith to make that happen.This story was truly great and I'm very happy CP wrote this book. It's an amazing read.

Julian Dane was there when Kaden Barnes, Lucas Monroe and Derek West started Blink but had problems with partying and drugs. He got sober but then used Kendall Parker to get to Kaden since Kaden was dating her twin sister Lexie. He used her but at the time, Julian didn’t know that Kendall is bipolar.It has been almost a year since that happened. Julian still has feelings for Kendall. He wants to make amends and his AA sponsor Nick Cantone agrees with him that it’s time to approach Kendall Parker and eventually Kaden Barnes.Will Julian be strong enough to win Kendall back? Will Kendall trust her own judgement especially regarding Julian? Will Kade ever trust Julian again?I’m glad that Kendall got her own story.

WOWZA (yes I think I start my reviews quite often with that)! This book had everything you could want…a great story, returning characters, hot sex and lots of stuff to keep your emotions on edge. Julian used Kendall in Book 1..Going Down Hard to get back at Kade. Now he is clean from drugs and using AA to help him (PS..Love Nick and Lauren!) Finding out the Kendall was bipolar and that he used her when she wasn’t herself really made him want to get better. Carly had such a way of telling how Julian worked staying clean and Kendall working in her problems. Loved that he found meetings if things were a little tough and Kendall had her therapist. Julian finds his way “in” to talking with her again by seeing her at the Dog Rescue and finding adorable Steve. Their chemistry is still there and smoking hot. I loved how they communicated. I loved how he helped Alex and protected her from Billy. I love how Kendall and Alex interacted. (HOPEFULLY THAT DOESN”T REVEAL TOO MUCH). I just love how Kendall gave it to Kade and Lexi….she learned her lessons and needs to make her own decisions. But what I really loved and hated at the same time was the end….AWWW! I don’t want to reveal parts of the book but I love their own family. It couldn’t have ended better. Thanks for this awesome ending to the Billionaire Bad Boys. I am sad it is over but I know you have more exciting books around the corner. I received this book as an ARC and a happily give my review of this book.

Loved reading the last book of the serious.Kendall and Julian story was great to read and how they overcome their problems.Julian really did turn his life around and started looking after other people like when Alex need some place and took her in brilliant.

Er hat seine Freunde schwer enttäuscht, erpresst und verletzt.Am meisten bereut er das er Kendall Parker, Lexie`s Zwillingsschwester benutzt hat. Er versucht schon lange mit ihr Kontakt aufzunehmen und gibt nicht auf. Denn er möchte sich unbedingt bei ihr entschuldigen. Und hofft auf eine zweite Chance.Ein sehr gefühlvolles Buch, mit vielen Höhen und Tiefen!

Ich kenne bereits Bücher der Autorin und wusste, dass sie keine wirklich anspruchsvolle Lektüre sind, sondern eher dafür geeignet sind, sich entspannt zurückzulehnen und interessanten Charakteren dabei zuzusehen, wie sie ihr Glück finden. Doch mit diesem Buch hat mich die Autorin etwas überrascht.Hier geht es nicht nur um zwei normale Charaktere. Beide sind so unperfekt, dass sie einen tollen Kontrast zu all den perfekten Charakteren bilden, von denen man sonst immer liest.Julian Dane ist nicht der netteste Mann auf Erden. Er hat seine Fehler und viele Fehler gemacht. Dennoch hat er gleich mehrere Probleme: seine Medikamentensucht, seine behinderte Schwester und sein schlechtes Gewissen gegenüber Kendall. Dennoch versucht er, seine Fehler wiedergutzumachen. Er bekämpft seine Sucht, unterstützt seine Schwester und versucht, sich bei Kendall zu entschuldigen. Er hatte sie ein Jahr zuvor benutzt, um sein Ziel zu erreichen und sie dabei tief verletzt, ohne zu wissen, dass sie selbst mit ihren eigenen Problemen zu kämpfen hat.Kendall Parker ist eine unabhängige junge Frau. Allerdings hat sie ein Problem: sie hat eine bipolare Störung und ist auf Medikamente angewiesen. Julian war zu sehr auf sich selbst fixiert, um zu erkennen, was mit Kendall nicht stimmt. Erst als er zu sich selbst zurückgefunden hat, hat er erkannt, was sein Fehler war und dass er Kendall wirklich gernhat. Er möchte sie gern wieder zurückgewinnen. Doch wird ihm das so einfach gelingen? Schließlich hatte er versucht, sie gegen ihre Zwillingsschwester und deren Mann aufzubringen…In diesem Konzept stecken so viele Fallstricke, dass man leicht über sie stolpern kann. Doch Carly Phillips überspringt sie mit Leichtigkeit. Ich fand es schön zu sehen, wie Julian und Kendall zueinandergefunden haben, wie sie sich wieder anfreundeten und dann schnell mehr daraus wurde. Es hat mir auch gefallen, dass beide sich die Zeit genommen haben, den jeweils anderen erneut kennenzulernen, dem anderen eine Chance zu geben… auch wenn das bei ihrer Ausgangslage kein einfaches Unterfangen war. Die Hunde von Julian und Kendall taten ihr übriges. Sie wurden absolut süß in die Geschichte mit eingebunden und haben die Atmosphäre etwas gelockert.Ich mochte auch Julian sehr und seine Beziehung zu seiner Schwester. Sie war ebenfalls absolut Zucker. Er hat sich sehr rührend um sie gekümmert. Eigentlich hat er damals alles nur riskiert und seine Freundschaft zu Kaden, Blink und Co. geopfert, damit er seine Schwester absichern konnte. Diese hat durch einen Verkehrsunfall ein Gehirntrauma erlitten und ist daher nur bedingt in der Lage, für sich selbst zu sorgen. An der Situation hat sich Julian die Schuld gegeben, obwohl er dafür nichts konnte. Er ist allerdings die Sorte Mann, die nicht über Probleme spricht, sondern selbst lösen will – ohne Hilfe.Kendall hingegen fühlt sich, als müsste sie sich ihrer Familie gegenüber immer wieder beweisen. Sie hat Angst davor, ihre Schwester zu verlieren, die für sie immer mehr eine Mutterfigur war. Einer der Punkte, die ich mir schwer vorstellen konnte, da sie Zwillinge sind. Sie weiß, dass sie für Julian viel riskiert hat und froh darüber ist, dass ihre Schwester und ihr Schwager ihr verziehen haben. Dennoch möchte sie selbst auch glücklich werden und Julian geht ihr so tief unter die Haut, dass sie ihm kaum widerstehen kann… schon gar nicht, als sie ihn wieder besser kennenlernt.Ich mag die Geschichte sehr, sie ist emotional und fesselnd. Man kann sie kaum aus den Händen legen, weil man wissen möchte, ob Julian und Kendall zueinanderfinden und wie sie ihre Probleme – jeder für sich und auch gemeinsam – meistern. Auch möchte man wissen, wie ihre Familien sie aufnehmen und die Entscheidungen der beiden annehmen. Da steckt einiges Konfliktpotential dahinter. Doch in der Umsetzung hat sich die Autorin für eine – in meinen Augen – sehr gute Lösung entschieden. Hier wurde nicht übertrieben dramatisiert. Das hat mir sehr gefallen, denn die Situation von Julian und Kendall war bereits dramatisch genug.Die Hintergründe der beiden Protagonisten sind sehr gut ausgearbeitet, sodass sie eine gewisse Tiefe erreichten und nicht bloß ein zweidimensionales Beiwerk darstellten. Durch die Erzählung, die abwechselnd aus der Perspektive von Julian oder Kendall erfolgt, kann man auf beiden Seiten die Gefühls- und Gedankenwelt miterleben. Das bringt einen diese beiden sympathischen Charaktere so viel näher und man hofft, bangt und zittert mit ihnen, dass sie glücklich werden. Denn seien wir mal ehrlich: niemand ist perfekt und jeder hat es verdient glücklich zu werden.Ich habe das Buch sehr gern gelesen und werde in Zukunft sicherlich hin und wieder zu einem Carly Phillips greifen, wenn ich mich entspannt mit einer guten Geschichte zurücklehnen möchte.

Ahhh another great read from Carly PhillipsWell this book had my emotions up and down as much as the characters were lol. Julian and Kendall what an amazing couple who overcome their illnesses and mistakes to be together although the road want easy and there were times I dint think it would work but their story was great and well worth the read, I did love this series but I loved the Dare series more

This series has kept the high standard of storytelling that started. In book 1.
