Review: Worth the price for quality, comfort, and durability for my achy-breaky feet - I bought these Vionic Wave toe-post sandals in October, 2020. I wore them in sand and on ceramic tile when I lived on the beach and on concrete and on laminate floors when I moved to the city. These have been my go-to footwear for around the house except on cold days. At 190 lbs., I gave these shoes a workout. I absolutely loved them. The orthotic soles soothed my feet. Each time I slipped these on, the comforting way they fit my feet and supported my arches made me grin. I have balance problems and plantar fasciitis and have had heel spurs. The solid, non-slip bottoms have allowed me to walk with confidence despite these being flip flop style. (I cannot wear cheap flip-flops because they slip and then I fall.) Cons: With daily use in sand, the front edges that stick out beyond my toes did fade slightly after a couple of years. But I consider this a minor deficit. The toe post finally broke yesterday (June, 2025) when I caught my foot on a heavy box, 4 and a half years after purchase. The tread is still in excellent shape, so I plan on getting these repaired and keep them out of landfill. They feel too good to let go. Yes, Vionics cost more, but their quality, comfort, and durability make them worth the price. Review: Relief and Support - Fractured my ankle a year after also having contracted plantar fasciitis while walking barefoot upstairs while carrying a safe all by myself. Yeah, I added that bit just so that I can stop any of you from ever doing that very stupid stunt. Should be part two of "never run with scissors." Point is, that foot was in terrible shape, undergoing intense physiotherapy, but now it was time to lose the boot and walk. Actually I was deriving much comfort from two weeks in my orthotics-inside-ON-brand-running-shoe. But then it was time to go back to the tropics and there was no way I was going to walk around in sneakers every day. Vionic Unisex thong sandal is recommended online in YouTube videos by a physiotherapist who I have come to trust. I have now been wearing mine every single day for two months and they feel great. Backs up my physiotherapy results (either after I exercise or after I see my physio here) with the comfort I expect right after a session. Pretty good arch support. I have high arches and might actually prefer another couple mm increase in elevation there, but fact is, my feet feel good in these. Comfortable from first wearing. No process of agony getting used to the fabric or anything. I'll stick on a pair of other sandals to take a shower in, and I notice the difference right away. These are comfy. I really do wear them all day long. Cons: if these get wet, it takes hours to dry them. I mean, stick 'em by the dehumidifier or in the noonday sun and it still TAKES HOURS to dry the water out of the strap material. Runs a tad wide. I wear a women's 8 in most shoes, but I've been mostly barefoot for the last 20 years and so my feet have widened quite a bit. I find the W8/M7 fine for my splayed feet, but I have to wonder what people with narrower, more normal feet might have to say about the fit. Can't beat the value for money. I was able to buy during one of those drops in price. Even as I write this review, when the price sits at $37... a very fair price for these.

Relief and Support
Fractured my ankle a year after also having contracted plantar fasciitis while walking barefoot upstairs while carrying a safe all by myself. Great flip flops for people with aching feet.
Updated 9/20/19: I still have these flip flops and I have to upgrade them from 4 to 5 stars. The foot-bed has remained resilient and I wore them all summer...like all day, everyday. The the bottoms are wearing like iron too, pretty much no change since I bought them. Really, just awesome foot saving sandals! Thanks Mom! I have plantar fasciitis and was excited to give these orthotic flip flops are try. My Mom mentioned Vionics to me as she has heard great thing about them and bought me a pair as a gift. Once they arrived I tried them on and was surprised by the very high arch, which is what I need, and much heel padding. They fit good and the color and craftsmanship were good. I was a happy camper After having them for a little while now I can say they help my feet. I have worn them daily pretty much since they arrived and they are holding up well, with my only gripe being that the padding is starting to compress which is -1 star ( I have given the star back, they are still going strong 9/2019). I was hoping they would be a stiffer material and hold up to constant use, but they do seem to be compressing a bit (didn't compress anymore after the initial break-in. Do it, they are awesome sandals 9/2019). To offset this I have bought other orthotics to help offload the full time work these sandals have been doing and they have recovered mostly from compression and still serve fine. All in a great sandal for people who want summer time relief for their aching feet so you can enjoy yourself!

Comfortable
These sandals have a great fit and unlike many that have the strap between the big and second toe are quite comfortable. There’s nothing special about the appearance they are a basic black flip flop but they do provide a nice level of support without looking “therapeutic”. They seem like they are going to be durable. The front of the sandal has caught an area rug s couple of times I’m not sure if that’s due to operator error or the design.

The Orthaheel flip flops are my 'go to' footwear for around the house in the winter and everywhere I go in every other season. I used to have significant problems with plantar fasciitis - lots of pain, especially in the morning. Since starting to use Orthaheel footwear, there is rarely a day that my feet give me a problem, and the few that I do have are usually when I've had to wear non-support shoes for an extended period. I do find, however, that the men's and the unisex products last significantly better than the prettier and more expensive women's products.

Received this product yesterday. The 0urter cover and the box was damaged badly. Not sure if this a usual thing. So far good, but too early to say how good the product is for my condition.
