The tapered hole allows you to keep the slide on your finger securely. Combine that with a knuckle cut away and a rest for an outside finger, and you have a slide that is comfortable, easy to use and controllable. This slide will allow you to play better without the usual slide fit frustrations. I have tried a lot of other slides and this brand is way beyond every other slide in design, quality and fit.
