Dulux Trade Diamond Satinwood - Pure Brilliant White - 1 litres

Brilliant paint for use on windowsills! I use a synthetic brush. I'm generous loading the paint onto the brush and the paint then glides over the surface and spreads easily with a few brush strokes. Best result achieved by not spreading the paint thinly. Amazing how the paint leaves zero brush marks!! I've used water based Dulux Retail Satinwood in the past and always ended up with brush marks, so this waterbased Dulux Trade Diamond Satinwood is a game changer. It's likely to run if used on vertical surfaces, if brush is overloaded. This paint is low odour and brushes wash very easily in warm water. I hope the paint will be as hard wearing as oil based paint, but at least it was pleasant and easy to use Expensive, but worth it!

Brilliant paint for internal doors. Good coverage and no smell at all which is a plus. More expensive but worth it. Will always buy this in future. Dries quickly abd easy to apply. Highly recommend.

It does look more matt than satinwood, used it in the bathroom and spare room but it looks like a sterile dentist or doctors room, easy to clean from the brush though (water based).

You get exactly what you pay for. The finish is perfection. Two coats on a primed indoor door looks very proffesional. Its very expensive but its trade. But its the word diamond that you need to look for. This separates it from the other paints. Fabulous

Great paint, no yellowing so far on the contrary of others I used before and the white is pure. A little dear but worth every penny, Will buy again.

Like many, struggled with retail satinwood: patchy finish no matter what The Diamondwhite is a dream. Panel door Preparation: light sanding, thorough wiping with wet cloth to remove residue. Wash short pile or mohair 4” roller first and remove excess moisture (do not use foam or longer wool type roller) . One final wipe of door with wet cloth and apply immediately. Do not over role... refresh roller often... you get the feel very quickly for this paint... not too thin or thick... feels like cream on door when right. Do not keep going back over. It will dry perfect. One coat on top of the retail has done the job - beautiful finish, no patchy effect. Two coats would be needed for colour change and I would follow the advice for undercoat as needed. Hope this helps anyone looking . I found this paint a doddle to work ( retail on skirting and door frames it’s fine... it’s big areas where it is inadequate and leaves patchy finish)

The product was easy to apply and gave a good finish. Time will tell whether it wears better than other paints.
