One of the better ones
I've used & tried many protein powders over the years. I'm one of those people with an extremely sensitive gut and haven't been able to digest more than 60% of the products that I've tried. The reason being all the additives, artificial sweeteners, sugars and other loads of artificially processed chemicals/products to enhance the taste or the nutrition value. To make matters worse, whey is being derived out of nutritionally enhanced & processed milk with use of GMOs and load of other garbage. What all this is doing to the health people is probably beyond the scope of this discussion. I'm a fairly experienced body-builder following a pretty strict diet regimen and lift weights 5 days a week. I don't believe in putting a bunch of chemicals in my body for muscle growth and have long term side-effects like ED, stomach issues, balding etc. I've been an off & on vegetarian too which called for a need for protein supplement. I've been using Biochem whey for about 2 years now and I go through about 2-3 cans every month. Here are some of the areas where this product stands out from others in its league: -Natural whey (when they say it, they mean it), free of any growth hormones -No added sugars & fat free, so no extra carbs which means you only get what you need -No artificial flavors, chemicals or any garbage that is not meant for ingestion by human body -Natural flavor (what I use) is almost tasteless, so it makes a great protein additive without altering the taste of the beverage in pretty much anything - smoothies, yogurt, milk, almond milk.. -One of the easily mixing protein powders that I've used Some of the downsides of the product: -People who are used to bottled protein supplements like muscle milk which is loaded with sugars and other stuff and associate those tastes/sugars with protein shakes may not like the taste on this one because it practically doesn't have a taste -Its one of the more expensive protein powders (per oz) Overall I'm very happy with the results I've gotten. There is no supplement that will replace a good balanced diet, healthy eating habits and nutrition from natural products like fruits, vegetables, poultry, fish etc. If you are looking to get bigger or repair your worked out muscles or just need a protein supplement (on top of your good balanced diet) to meet your daily protein intake, this is a great product!

Best sugar free protein powder (so far)
I’ve been using this sugar free vanilla whey protein for almost 2 years now and am a big fan. It was surprisingly difficult to find a sugar free powder that didn’t use Sucralose or another unhealthy chemical sweetener. This product uses Stevia. It has a great balance of sweetness, not overly sweet - and IMO the sweetness tastes natural, without any weird aftertaste. It blends great with my setup, dissolves super well. Texture is great. It’s simple and unobtrusive, which I like. I’ll often add my own cacao/cocoa powder if I want a chocolate flavor and it works great. These other companies need to ditch the Sucralose & start using stevia, allulose or monk fruit. Haven’t found a better alternative and am fully content with this one.

Natural flavor- Nutritional information at end of review
LOVE this protein! Spent a long time looking at different proteins, but chose this one since I don't want a ton of protein or calories, especially since I also have this with a snack. 1 Scoop of the "Natural" flavor mixed with 8 ounces of Vanilla almond milk is DELICIOUS!! It is a bit clumpy when mixed with a spoon, but I personally don't mind that. Using a blender gets rid of the clump factor. Mixed with the almond milk, I thought this protein tasted very similar to a shake. I used the Sweetened Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Vanilla (it's a little bit better than 1% milk, no cholesterol, no saturated fat, about 10 less calories, but less protein). I just started a weight training routine along with my husband and wanted to add just a bit of protein, so we split the 1 scoop + 8 oz between us, & plan to only have this on strength training days. We both get a decent amount of protein throughout the day, and also have a little snack after the "shake," such as 1 tbsp peanut butter with Trader Joe's Multi-Grain Crackers and half an apple. That adds another 6 protein, so we have a total of 15-17 protein with everything, depending on portions. I am not very knowledgable when it comes to nutrition, but recently I have been improving immensely. I have noticed since I added a lot more protein to my diet (steamed chicken mostly), my body feels MUCH better and I believe protein is the reason I am recovering faster. I am still at the "beginning" of my exercise routine, but I do push myself further as things get easier. I have lost 18.5 pounds in nearly two months, based off changes in diet & exercising for 45 minutes to 1 hour 5-6 days per week. I'm hoping adding strength training & this protein powder will help me build some more muscle and further aid in getting healthier. I recently read a recipe for protein powder (you will need a blender) that claims to taste a bit like a Creamsicle. The recipe is as follows: - 1 scoop Vanilla protein powder (since Natural is slightly Vanilla flavored, this might be fine- if not, I'd imagine a touch of Vanilla extract would do the trick) - 1 Grapefruit (peeled) - A few ice cubes Blend and enjoy! I hope to try this out this weekend. If it's awful, I'll come back to edit that. I'd like to note that Grapefruit is very famous for its "fat burning" abilities (whether true or not), but check with your Doctor before having Grapefruit if you are taking Prescription medications- apparently it can be very dangerous & life threatening with certain pills. *Update: I hated the first recipe, but my husband enjoyed it. My favorite recipe uses Trader Joe's frozen berry medley (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries). Recipe as follows: - 1 scoop Natural protein powder - 1 cup Vanilla almond milk - 3/4 cup Trader Joe's Berry Medley Blend & enjoy! Very happy with this protein powder
This is a nice high-protein powder that is not chalky and is very easy to dissolve into things without making them too thick. Flavor and smell are fine, it's fairly lightly flavored so it doesn't tend to overwhelm the food it is in. Overall a solid value for the cost.

Bare bones whey packs muscle on your bare bones
I purchased this whey protein with two main motives: First, to add quick protein into my diet to stave off hypoglycemic crashes. Second, to pack on muscle as I've begun lifting weights in earnest. My first motivation seems to have been met. After drinking some of this whey protein I feel a bit more alert and seem to be able to handle sweets better. I'm still unsure if it's a placebo effect however. My second motivation also seems to have been met. Since consistently drinking one serving a day (usually during a workout) I have noticed steady muscle growth at a rate that is higher than before I was taking in more fast uptake proteins like this whey. Of course, I take in good muscle-growing proteins in other forms as well, but this whey protein is an essential part of my muscle-building protein diet. Usage Tips: 1) This stuff does not mix well with a spoon. It takes a heavyweight beating to get it to mix and even then there are clumps stuck to the spoon and side of the glass. Try putting it in a blender or using an emulsifier. 2) This natural flavor whey doesn't taste bad, but doesn't taste good either. I put it in milk which makes it palatable, but still a little "funny" tasting. I usually just chug it down to get it over with when I'm drinking it plain. 3) Keeping 1 and 2 in mind, I recommend mixing a serving of this whey with a serving of some other powdered drink. In my case, I use malt flavored ovaltine. Put the two powders together in a glass and then thoroughly mix them before pouring in your liquid (milk is my favorite). It keeps the whey from clumping and also gives it a great taste. The whey flavor, which by itself is a bit unpleasant, actually enhances the flavor of the malt ovaltine and vice-versa. However, chocolate ovaltine is not such a good combo, in my opinion. One more thing of note: the calories are as rock bottom as science allows. By nature one gram of protein has 4 calories and one serving of this whey protein is 20 grams of protein with 80 calories. Do the math... that's as lean as you can get. All in all, this is a great product and you can't beat the price for the amount you get.

I Love the Bio Chem Whey Protein Powder
There are many choices when it comes to protein powder, and if you are not careful, you can spend a small fortune. The Bio Chem range, from Country Life Vitamins, is the best I've found for the price. I've tried both the Vanilla and the Natural, and my preference is the Vanilla, since it taste great in milk without having to add anything else. The Natural, on the other hand, is very bland in milk, and is probably designed for blending with a flavor of your choosing, such as fruit, chocolate, etc. While I prefer the taste of the Vanilla, it comes at the cost of 7g of sugar per serving, while the Natural has no added sugar. So if you want to avoid the added sugar go with the Natural. From a cost point of view, I've found that the Vanilla is the best value, especially when you buy the big 848g container. The Natural, on the other hand, only comes in a 699g container and retails for about the same price. On Amazon the Vanilla in the 848g container is always cheaper than the Natural in the smaller container. I guess it's all to do with demand. In terms of the product itself, I have been very happy with it. I drink a serving mixed with milk after every workout and I find my muscles heal very quickly. I have also tried mixing it with water, and while drinkable, it's no way as tasty as with milk. Some people report issues with mixing the powder. As with any powder you can end up with lumps if you don't mix it right. Either mix the powder with a small amount of liquid and slowly add more, or do what I do: add a couple of ice cubes to a sports bottle and mix in milk and the protein powder, secure the lid, and shake vigorously. Of course the third option is to use an electric blender. Just don't complain that it doesn't mix well, it does, so long as you do it right. This product comes recommended. Buy with confidence.

Amazing flavor no chalky taste.
Wasn't sure what to expect. Love this protein powder. Very clean ingredients and taste delicious. Mixes well, adds a great flavor while adding protein to my coffee and treats. Also great in yogurt bowls. No chalky taste at all.
