Tripact Inc M Design Art Handcraft Flame Rainbow Ex Large Size Millefiori Art Glass Paperweight

I purchased three of these puppies ( Murano Design Rich Colored Rainbow Tie-dye Paperweight PW-662  and  Murano Hand Blown Glass Art Crystal Rainbow Paperweight PP-0146 ), and this one is by far the best!! The other two were spherical shaped, and I was not particularly impressed. The first has such a small base that if cannot actually function as a paperweight, and the other is more egg-shaped and top-heavy.Nevertheless, this particular paperweight is great. It is more squatty and less spherical, giving it a low center of gravity and a large base. It is very nice looking and very functional. The pictures make it seem as if it has a great deal of black, but it doesn't. The glass surrounding the colorful designs is clear. But, I am a big fan. I will get more that are this squatty design and stay away from the spherical ones.

I think perhaps these are slightly imperfect real Murano because the label is real. The imperfection is that on the bottom of the ball it has a slight variation from a perfect circle but really - who cares when you're getting such good quality. The layers are actually quite amazing and I can stare at it for some time being mesmerized by the colors and design inside the glass. This is definitely a wonderful display piece. I am sorry this person is no longer selling because I love this type blown glass and decorations.

Usually you think of a paperweight as a cop-out gift, but I saw a segment on TV that details the making of these things and was really intrigued. It's quite beautiful, and my wife loved it.
