Robinair TIF9010A Slimline Refrigerant Electronic Charging/Recover Scale

I own an HVAC company acacos.com i bought this scale over a year ago it worked perfectly fine for over a year. I also teach HVAC at a reputable college and we own few refrigerant scales. My colleagues and i never had an issue with this scale and it is our go-to compared to other brands. For some reason the scale of my business read wrong one day. I called Customer Service and they provided me 1) with calibration instruction and 2) with a new unit. Literally no question asked. Comment the scale is owned by Bosch.

Quiero iniciar diciendo Wow estoy muy contento de haber comprado esta balanza digital! Ya que he podido realizar mis trabajos a la perfección usando la cantidad exacta en cada recarga del gas refrigerante hecha en el sistema del aire acondicionado en los vehículos...muchas gracias por tan valioso producto.

I've had scale for over a year. So far it's been great. It takes the guess work out of charging an A/C. The dispaly is measured to .1 oz. The scale is simple to use, slim for easy storage, and very durable. I have dropped this scale on the concrete a few times and have had no problems with it. The only issue I have with it is that there is no automatice shut off. If you forget to turn the display off, you will run down the battery. Aside from that, it is a great tool.

Quality unit

I have been an automotive tech since 1983 and I have always wanted one of these for accurate refrigerant charging when doing side work. For many years I got by without one and it surely affect the quality of my work although most of my work is on pre 80's vehicle in the restoration process. Now when working on new vehicle a can make that critical charge with confidence. Also it works great for weighing any thing else you may need an accurate weight. I used it for estimating shipping packages and it was dead on. I also check all of my weightlifting plates and dumbbells and couldn't believe how far off the marking were. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because if you are using this as your primary business equipment, there are higher quality units that would probably hold up better and offer more options but this certainly could do the job if your on a budget.

As a former automotive tech I was familiar with this brand. I bought one for home diy AC work. Now I use it to measure ( weigh) coins at my laundromat. It is that accurate. After several years and banging around in the car, it got a little figity. I run it on Kg to 3 digits and the last one or two digits would fluctuate. For ac this is still close enough. My wife freaked when it “might” be off by a quarter or two so we replaced it with another.

I'm a ready mix concrete QC tech and love these scales in the field and at my plants. They are very reliable and durable and I would highly recommend them. I've also tried the cheaper option, realizing you pay what you get for!

The Last 2 TIF freon scales I had both failed and would not hold the number of ounces of freon that one had added in in the A/C unit ---it just starded to add weight that was not added to the a/c machine (the number just moved up with the low pressure feed line shut off). I talked to the teckservices department and they said the units had a componet problem. They were not intersted in fixing the unit or giving me credit for a new unit. They did send me a wiring schematic and said good luck in fixing the schale. So it has been several years since I purchased anything from TIF. I hope they stuff is better now. I wasted a lot of money in the past on those 2 schales.

Works great. No issues so far. Weight is 100 % accurate.

very easy to use

Works fantastic. Tough case withstanding the bumps from roping it up the side of a building. Dropped it once, still works. YAY!
