Great camping chair. I bought one for me and one for my wife and we have really enjoyed them. The pod design is comfortable but not hot in the summer and the rocker function is smooth and enjoyable. They are pricier than the cheap camping chairs you can get, but the fabric is thick and well stitched, the frames are solid, and the shock aided rocking function is great. The fact that these fold up into a standard camping chair size in a bag with a shoulder strap is a plus. I've had the chairs that fold up into rectangles and they are much more difficult to transport.

We had the original GCI Rocker Freestyle that folded flat and was awkward to carry (but was still awesome), so we were looking for a more portable option. Picked these up on sale and have loved them! They collapse into a nice travel bag for much easier storage and transport. When open, they are comfortable and sturdy. My only warning is that unlike the classic model where it's more of a seat and you can sit up right, these have you in a more lounging, leaning back position. In addition, these are lower to the ground, so they may not be the best for elderly folks. For me, a middle aged man who get's around well, it's not an issue. As for quality and construction, we have owned 6 GCI chairs of different models for about 3-4 years and they have all held up well. The most I've had to do is to use a little WD-40 to eliminate a squeak. My wife even ran one over and bent the frame, but we still use it! I highly recommend GCI products! The only "negative" would be the weight -- they are not light, but it's not surprising when you consider how sturdy they are. My wife can carry it, but she doesn't like to.

i was 275 pounds when i bought this. felt very secure and comfortable. Easy to breakdown and carry small enough to store comfortably

The chair itself seems nice. It’ll be nice to lounge in vs others where you’re more upright. I wish that this bag had the option to also be carried like the strap like most of the other ones with the bag also being an option. It would keep the chair cleaner, but if you just wanted easy transport the strap would be nice. The bag is also already getting a hole where the legs stick out when folded and so in know the bag won’t last long if you keep putting the chair back in the bag all the time.

I've been searching for a new chair for the baseball field for a while, and as soon as I came across this one, I knew it was the one. I love the classic navy color — it's both chic and timeless, plus it won’t show dirt easily. It’s incredibly comfortable, and setup is a breeze. It pops right open and folds down quickly and easily. Highly recommend!

One of the most comfortable chairs I have sat in. Perfect for sporting events, reunions, etc. Easy to put up and take out of bag and easy to carry to events. Love that it rocks. Great value!

I've looked at a lot of chairs trying to meet the following constraints: 1) Portable 2) Comfortable 3) Arm rests 4) Cup holder 5) Head support 6) Rocking (as a "nice to have," not a requirement) The only one of these that requires explanation is 5 - head support. I'm 6'2", and most chairs with head support aren't very portable. Very portable chairs rarely have head support. However, the design of this chair allows you to slouch comfortably down, and rest your head at the top, cradling it much like the arm rests do. This isn't possible with standard camping chairs because slouching down is uncomfortable due to the configuration of the bars below the seat. No so with this chair. And when you're seated upright you don't have a head rest pushing your head awkwardly forward as is the case with high-back chairs I've had in the past. This hits the sweet spot. This chair meets all 6 of my criteria well. Having used it for several events, I've decided to get another. A friend of mine who sat in it at a recent party asked where I got it so he could get a few for himself, too. So it's proving to be a good choice.

Finally a rocking chair that folds... Liked ease of folding and opening the chair in my limited space. Needed a foot stool to get rocking motion going but still a great option for smaller apartments n still getting a rocking chair in. Feels better if placed on carpeted floor space. The back motion in rocking can be seemingly squeaky at times but if plugging in yr ears or watching tv, it's not noticed. Adding cushions into the seat makes it better for back and back of legs when sitting in it. Dunno how long this chair will last but glad to have this as my reading corner chair. Delivery was swift and packaging it came in was good n solid. Not meant for taller people cos neck sticks out above top of chair back line. Adding an additional cushion that hangs on your neck may help then. May also feel a little low for taller people. Wider than regular camping chair so make sure u have width to open on left n right sides.
