2021 MREs (Meals Ready-to-Eat) Genuine U.S. Military Surplus Assorted Flavor (4-Pack)

I wanted to drop in a positive review as I see in other reviews some mixed results. We are on our 5th order from this vendor from this listing on Amazon where we buy 4 or 8 pack MREs and have had apparently really great luck. Every time these have shown up within a day or two after ordering - they have been packed very well with outer MRE box, and padding paper inside. Every pouch has been intact, and inspection dates have always been well within expected service life of the MRE's included. Menu choices do seem to be pretty random but that's kinda part of the fun. We use these camping or 4x4ing and they are an ideal backup for unplanned overnight stays. Great job so far guys! - Bolt

The meals were a joy to open and prepare. Its not a gourmet meal of course but still very decent tasting and had good variety. The exception was the creamy spinach fettuccine, it was as bland and tasteless as steve1989mreinfo said it would be. The best item in the entire box was the maple muffin top. Every bag was fun and exciting to open and had this unboxing feel to it. 2 of the 4 flameless ration heaters I got did not heat up correctly, I thoroughly soaked and even tried salting it the heater packet but it just didn't activate. Shawna from Atom Promotions, LLC quickly replied and sent me replacement FRHs! I am amazed and very pleased by the customer support.

They arrived by fedex in a bubble envelope. Everything looked fine, sealed,... I was happy. I chose the cheese tortellini first because it seemed like my least favorite of the 4, get that out of the way. It was good! Came with the cutest bottle of Tobasco sauce I ever saw and yes it was needed. The second one I opened (this is not the seller's fault) had a bag of twizzlers that opened up on the inside package. Not a big loss but Sopako should know better. The FRH almost kind of in a way got the entree and mashed potatoes above room temperature. They tasted good after I put them in the microwave. 2 more to go and I see the seller only sent what looked right. Props to the seller! Sopakco and the US military should do better for those folks out in the field. There are better FRH's available right now. Why would you put a gas station package of Twizzlers in the bag? What else did they mess up?

My son is a nut and loves MRE's. I don't know why. Sure there is military heritage in his blood, but who in their right mind loves MRE's? He does. So, for every holiday, birthday, whatever, it is a standard easy gift. this site had very reasonable priced product. Better than the higher prices elsewhere for the same thing. But here is the kicker, all 4 MRE's were decent meals. The weren't like Parm coated bones of malnourished lizards or cream of staff Sargent socks. They were all edible varieties. Well, as much as an MRE can be. Pretty pleased with the purchase. And my son will love them in his Easter basket. (yes, I enable his like for them.)

I am between 5 and 4 stars, but put 5 because I had pleasure to eat it and its really tasty! This is definitely not that food you will get in restaurant, but in the field when you have no supplies and this is the only option you will have tasty well packed food and plenty of energy of it to keep going! I just tried "menu 12" and the rest going to my emergency backpack. That meal nmbr 12 is awesome, but it has no meat in it :(

I received the Mres to test durability. Two bags were missing the heating element a pain since it was kinda another reason I bought them. I will admit the taste of the Asian-style beef and vegetables was decent. I can't tell you about the others as I haven't had a chance to eat them and I refuse to eat them cold. I simply have the worst luck...ever. I'm reporting this a year later...when I opened them finally. I'm glad I found out now and not after I had some emergency where I couldn't get to ready heat.

I bought these for our "go bags" that we have prepped in case of an emergency. They pack the nutrients you need in a small package. They are pretty well assorted when it comes to menu. Bear in mind, not all of them include a warmer. I highly recommend this for emergencies or for camping, hiking, etc.
