Polar Bottle Insulated Water Bottle

I've just used this once, in my house in the air conditioning.....I put ice and water in it. Condensation happened pretty quickly, it wasn't as bad as a regular water bottle but I was expecting none, so I guess my expectations were too high. Ice melted within an hour or two. Again, probably better than a regular water bottle but I was expecting it to really stay cold. Product seems pretty cheap and flimsy, plastic is weak and it just looks like they stuck some foil in between two cheap water bottles. Don't even want to know what it will do outside in the 95 degree heat. I was surprised there are so many good reviews, which was the reason I purchased. Oh well, another water bottle to add to my stack.

First time buying Polar Bottles from Amazon. Our family has used Polar Bottles for years and I usually buy them in retail stores or directly from the company in CO. I ordered 4 of these from Amazon and 2 of them have bent mouths and are, therefore, useless. These bottles seem like they are second-run, or perhaps damaged goods. So disappointing! Will go back to spending a few more dollars to make sure that we get the quality product we deserve.

I bought this bottle for my road bike's cage and I ended up taking it with me everywhere I go. I consistently batter this thing by filling it, throwing it in the freezer, then stepping on it to break up the ice inside. It loves it.Ok, maybe it doesn't. But it can certainly handle it.

Really disappointed in product. Did everything possible to get cold and have it keep water cold. Put in freezer ice box and added ice to container and it still would not stay cold . Sorry tired everything...................Bad product.....

Very light weight, keeps water cool, easy to slip in and out of the bottle holder while riding. No plastic smell or taste.

Now, it's not a full blown insulated bottle that will keep your stuff hot/cold for hours on end, but it does a good job of keeping iced water or power drink cold for a couple hours. I use this on my motorcycle and I keep a "real" insulated bottle of stuff in my saddle bag to refill. This will not really keep just a cold bottle of water from the convenience store chilled for more than 40 minutes or so.The advantage of this bottle's insulation becomes a disadvantage when cleaning time arrives. A regular bottle brush won't work on the molded dimples inside so I have fashioned a tool for scrubbing using a "bent" toothbrush stuck in about 8" of 1/2" pvc (I uploaded a pic). That's about the only way to get the molded dimples clean. I also use a trick I use on my camelback. Get some effervescent denture tablets. Fill the bottle to the brim with HOT water, drop in two tablets and screw on the opened top lightly. The foam will bubble out the top and around the threads disinfecting the whole bottle in a few minutes. Then proceed with the toothbrush.I don't recommend using sugared power drinks in this bottle because of the 'infected dimple' problem. But iced ZERO power drinks with no sugar work very good as well as clear cold iced water. Ice your drink and clean the bottle often though.Oh, and if you live in a sunny area, get a light color!

I bought four of these, one for each member of the family, for our summer vacation. Excellent all around bottles. My favorite use so far has been for my daughter's summer camp. Before bed I fill 1/3-1/2 full, and toss it in the freezer. In the AM I add water/ice. My kid is out in the HOT sun all day, but her water stays COLD until she comes home. No metal bottles to heat up in the sun or burn her fingers. How refreshing is warm/hot water on a muggy summer day?The feature that separates this bottle from others for me is the fact that it is dishwasher safe, w/o having to worry about the color fading or chipping off with use. My dishwasher (lower rack, as it's too tall for top), gets it thoroughly steam cleaned and germ-free every night. Since my daughter hangs out in a barn around animals, and tosses her backpack on the "floor" with God KNOWS what, I really appreciate that I don't have to scrub it out by hand every night.In summary, these BPA-free bottles do their jobs WELL (keep bevs COLD for hours), look cute (many different colors/styles), won't break if you drop them, can handle both freezer and dishwasher daily, won't heat up if they're left in the hot sun (like metal bottles), and don't require hand washing. Amazon's pricing, between $8-9 per bottle (FREE shipping on orders over $25), and home delivery makes it about as convenient as humanly possible to aquire a home collection. I am now ordering a 2nd bottle for each of us, in case one gets lost, left on the bus, or is still in the dishwasher when it's time to head out.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND POLAR BOTTLES!!! I only wish they made them in a 30.oz size for super thirsty grown ups!

After banging the counter chick at the tennis center she gave me a 24 oz polar bottle from the lost and found cleaned it out & put cold water in it to take with me. Did it keep the water cooler longer than my non insulated sports bottle at home? I THINK NOT!!!
