Mount-It! Floating Wall Mounted Double Shelves

Every Mount-It product I have used has been a pleasure. I bought the VonHaus version of this shelf, VonHaus 2x Black Floating Shelf with Strengthened Tempered Glass for DVD Players/Cable Boxes/Games Consoles/TV Accessories, originally because it was cheaper and I thought, "it's the same shelf, why not?". Well I can tell you why not, there were no screw holes in the metal upright that you mount to the wall. I would have needed to either drill them myself or somehow displace matter as I mounted the unit. I returned it to amazon without issue and immediately ordered this one, as I have used and enjoyed Mount-It products in the past. I wasn't disappointed.The installation was a breeze and it looks great.As far as the shelf in general, I think the design is a bit strange. The "cable management" thing at the side seems like it would only work if you placed the cables in before you affixed it to the wall (I didn't use it but did use them as cable tie anchor points). I am using the shelf for my modem, router and phone box, so not very demanding on weight. I used drywall anchors and didn't place it in a stud, but it holds well and no movement. I would definitely recommend this shelf for light duty tasks.

I used these in a travel trailer to hold the satellite receiver and blu-ray player. Easy to install and seem sturdy enough to withstand the shock and vibration of the ride. I used velcro straps to hold down the components and keep the shelves from bouncing. Would be nice if they sold extra shelves so I could add one more.

This was purchased to hold a cable box/DVR for a wall mount TV in my home gym. Went up easy without issue. The pieces feel a little low end as most of it is plastic. My only complaint is that the shelf area is a bit smaller than you would think by measurements given due to the design. The fit for my box which should have been right on the money seems a little tight. With that said it is holding the box fine, just sticks out a bit more thanI would have liked. Glass shelves are fine. Cord management is a little bit of a challenge but probably would be with any of these units.All in all for the price I found this unit to be acceptable and has fulfilled my needs. The look of the shelving is nice and I am happy with the purchase.

Mounted this below my flat screen to hold a cable box and router on one shelf and a blu ray player on the other. It only lasted 24 hours before the screws pulled out of the wall. We had used screw anchors, but no dice. Since this thing is made of glass it's a no win. It looked great for those few hours it was up, though.

This is a really nice piece. It goes perfect with our Mount It TV wall Mount. The glass shelves are thick and sturdy. They fit our small blu-ray player nicely. We plan to put a Bose Solo on the other shelf. The shelves are small, so be sure your elements fit on them. I could easily see how larger players might not fit.

Just mounted this last weekend and it does the job okay, but the cable management system, or what they call a cable management system is basically non-existent. Unless you're sending your wires into your wall they will be noticeable so you're going to need an alternate method if wires are bothersome. The shelves are pretty sturdy but I'm not a big fan of how they stay in place and the brackets with the rubber washers glued on were not glued in place properly.

very easy to install, maybe 20 minutes. Looks great, even holds my surround sound receiver although it hangs over a bit.Prompt shipping, good quality.

I thought I was purchasing an AV rack, not a DVD rack. Is to small to hold my Dish Network Controller. Doesn't do anything about the cable mess. Pretty dissatisfied.
