It's a little hard to keep the roller from sliding, but the wood grain pattern easily hid my mistakes. You could also overlap (by accident) and it didn't ruin the pattern. A floral pattern might be a little harder to control. It was used as a backdrop to a bathroom vanity display at a Home Show and we received many compliments on the pattern. Most people thought it was wallpaper. We actually picked out very similar colors to the example photo, but it was very difficult to see our mint green through the gray background. We tested the roller out on cardboard and the pattern came out fine, but applying it to a whole wall was different.
