The pen(the whole) feels sturdy. Whistle works and removable for cleaning. The ink pen writes smoothly. Led is very bright and blinding. The clip is strong and holds. The glass breaker is very sharp. Here comes some issues the lanyard doesnt seem to have a proper place on the pen or it's not outright clear. Other bad thing is since the glass breaker is so sharp you cant put the pen in your pants or shirt without risking damaging your clothing or accidentally stabbing yourself. This main issue could be easily solved with switching the pen and glass breaker and adding that the pen could be retracted into the device.

O-Ring construction reassures me that batteries should work when needed, even in damp environment. Only drawback is that the pen tip cannot be retracted when it is exposed. Though the pen should not wick ink into a shirt pocket, this little feature may make it easier to pass a security checkpoint, for example.

It was definitely not what we expected! The wrist leash is a thin string not made to last. We opened it and there was none of those various types of screw heads. Came only with a whistle and 2 pen refills. The pen does not even have a cap on the tip if the pen and does not retract so the ink can run mark up the insides of my bag. Its just one of those items that "Is not what you expected" my friend agreed and said she rarely gets what she is expecting to get, lol. Will give them away, isn't worth the trouble or time to return. Disappointing....

I like it!Pen is sturdy,but not heavy. Well made. Good quality. Overall,as described. Includes four tools (pen, whistle, flashlight , and glass breaker)-took me a while to figured out :) The writing part of the pen is inside and you have to switch the bottom part around to write.Can be used,as an emergency tool. I like that bright Led flashlight :)Oh,and it came in a cute box ;)

All is as expected. Only done side is that it does not have a cap / protector for the pen tip. So you can carry it on any pocket without being picked or getting ink on your clothes. I would not buy again for this reason only. If they ever add a cap for the tip they need to make sure the cap is not a screw on since it would defeat the tactical purpose of the tip.

I thought it was bigger, but in fact it's just slightly bigger than a regular pen. I can't see how to close the pen after installing the ink - and I'm also not sure how to use it for self defense, as described. If I would stab the opponent, it is so sharp that I guess the results could be similar as with a knife. So that's too risky. But having a pen, a light and a whistle all in one gadget is good though, and probably not a bad thing to have in the arsenal.

Purchased one for my adult niece and daughter to have with her on campus at college. Not too heavy, pen writes great, and the flashlight is great for a light - and the flash mode is intense.

Great design. Nice low profile weapon that fits great in my hand. Easy to conceal in my pocket. Simple unscrewing makes it into a pen Light seems good too.
