Q: Can we use it to cover a fire pit?

We apologize for the confusion but we strictly test for Automotive use only. This coating heat cures (by being applied and then running the vehicle. It can put off harmful fumes during this process so we would not recommend it for this type of use.

Q: Does it require a high temperature to cure?

It resists temperatures to 1,400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Q: Can it be applied over rust exhaust manifold?

Yes, but try to remove as much as the loose rust as possible. The type of brush you use is critical to the finish look. Don't get a cheap set of brushes, don't have to break the bank either. But the cheap brushes, doesn't lay the paint done even

Q: can I mix some silver flake with this paint to get a metalic look? also is this offerd in a gloss finish?

We do not recommend adding flakes to this finish. And we do not have it available in gloss.
