Occasionally water, a bit of dust and such will manage to seep under the screen protector of the case and the one that comes with the phone gives it that extra level of protection. I thought someone else had said that they reached out to the company when their screen protector became marred and they sent a replacement case. Having taken mine off it doesn't appear to be something easily replaced since there is an adhesive strip about half a millimeter wide that goes around the perimeter of the screen that holds it in place, not to mention the protector itself is very rigid and can get bends in it. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's not only attractive but looks as if it will protect the phone brilliantly *by S***N on March 28, 2020* I've had this for only a day but I feel much more assured of my phone's protection with this then I did with the Ringke case I've had on my OnePlus for the past four months. Maybe the slimmer design of the Ringke would appeal to some, and although it never allowed my 7 Pro to get damaged, the smaller bumpers and the smaller lips on top and bottom of the screen didn't inspire a lot of confidence in me in protecting the wrap around display on the phone. I had a Poetic case before on a previous phone and was happy with it so it's surprising that it didn't occur to me to get another. Either way, I have it now and it looks great! Maybe it's bigger then the last case but not overly so, and the bumpers at the top and bottom to protect the screen are a lot heftier. When I set it down on a hard surface it even sounds thicker. And the fingerprint reader works as well as it did before with the screen saver I had on it with the Ringke. I was concerned the built in screen saver on the Poetic might not work with the fingerprint reader and was thinking of taking it off, but for now I'm happy with it and am going to leave it on. Well made case and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!Edited 4-14: After having this for less then a month, I'll say that I'm very happy with the case but not so much with the built in screen protector. It developed specks and imperfections on it that would not come off when I cleaned it, and I did try with a screen cleaner pad and dish soap and a soft cloth. It may be from how I carry my phone, in my back pocket, so it picks up lint and dirt there more so then if it was carried in a belt case or a purse. Whatever the reason it would make the screen harder to read at times and the fingerprint sensor was affected also. The good news is that removing it was super easy, just push in from the front of the case and then peel off the adhesive strip around the inside edge that the protector adheres to. Now my fingerprint sensor works like a charm and the screen is protected well by the beefy bumpers on the case. With that in mind I still recommend this case. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A GEM FOR SURE! *by A***K on September 6, 2020* Amazing for the price and still gets 5 stars even though it has one flaw. First off it fits all 7T Pro variants as there's no real physical differences between the Mclaren 5G addition and the base 7T Pro model, so yeah no worries there. It fits snug and shows no sign of weakness or flex on any of the sides of the case itself which is amazing given that the plastic only reinforces like 35% of the entire case. Only 2 flaws, one minor and one slightly major. The minor flaw is that the rubber cover that shrouds the charging port for the phone is fairly stiff and actually took some breaking in to get to sit flush and with the rest of the case. The major flaw is you pretty much have to remove the included plastic "screen protector" to even use the fingerprint sensor. It looks like you can use other screen protectors with this and it would work but still just something to be aware of. And removing that existing screen protector that's on this case is easy. Just pop it of and peel it away from the front of the case and be sure to remove any remaining glue remnants, as it is just simply glued on. Other than that tho honestly the full case itself is amazingly built and is great for showing off my Mclaren edition. Would definitely buy again despite the points of criticism! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Impressive but just shy of perfect *by X***L on June 10, 2019* In some ways this is the best phone case I have ever purchased. I love that it is complete protection including the front screen. I tried two different glass screen protectors before buying this case and both fell off within hours. Buttons are responsive fingerprint sensor is no less effective and touching the screen doesn't feel any different. There are only two things I don't like and they are both flaps. I don't need or want the flap that covers the USB c port. And the flap that opens to reveal the volume slide is difficult and awkward but not impossible. I could just cut the USB port flap and I may do that. but no simple surgery is going to make that volume slider more accessible.Edit: 10 Days in. I haven't changed my title or review, but I do have an update.The screen-protector is not great. It is a true fingerprint magnet. I haven't tested it in an actual drop, but just from being in my pocket, etc. the screen protector has gotten an inch and half long scratch and some general light scuffing. I would have expected scratch resistance at least as good as the protection built into the 1p7p right out of the box!I also really dislike the flaps over the usbc and volume switch. I wish they were removable, but even if I cut them off the case design makes the volume switch almost unusable.Considering the dozens and dozens of case options and screen protectors out there for under five bucks, something at this price should exceed expectations.Would I still buy? Yes.
