Conklin All American Tortoiseshell Fountain Pen - Extra Fine

Lovely pen. Fine nib writes well, just a touch of scratch, but ink flow gives a crisp line. nicely finished. A pleasure.

Good looking but an utterly useless writing instrument. Only found out after buying that Conklin is notorious for poor quality nubs and feeders.

It’s not a Mont Blanc or Cross, but as an everyday day pen it’s a pleasure to use.

Liegt toll in der Hand - trotzdem er riesig zu sein scheint. Die Feder ist ein Traum - weich und biegsam. Der Füllhalter ist jeden Cent wert und definitiv ein Must-have für jeden, der gerne mit Füller schreibt!

It was a bit scratch for the first few words I wrote with this pen. Some adjustments I did to make it an enjoyable pen: 1. Dissecting the feed and nib. 2. Cleaning feed and nib thoroughly with dishwashing detergent. 3. Wipe dry. 4. Reassemble the feed and nib as shown in the attached picture. This pen has now transformed into my favorite pen. I enjoy the feel of the pen tip touching the paper.

I like the size and heft of it in my hand. The extra-fine nib is ideal and overall it has been a very satisfying purchase. 😊

Love the pen. But the nib was wrong. A stub nib was on it not an extra-fine like advertised.
