Ringside Steel I-Beam Boxing Muay Thai Heavy Bag Hanger

Having read some of the other reviews regarding having to buy longer a longer bold, I was skeptical about buying this. I tried to buy one locally from sporting goods stores, and it seemed like a hard item to get, there seemed to be a run on them at the time, (or so I was told) anyhow, I ordered this one, it shipped fast and I installed in on the 5 1/2 inch I-beam, that runs thru the house. I also read reviews about the clamp sliding on the beam. I cut two strips of old inner tube, just a little wider than the bracket, and put them between the clamp and the I beam. Tightened the bracket up, and had about an inch of the bolt threads left. I have an 80lb bag hanging on it, and for my purposes, have experience no moving, no problems. Good heavy product.

I originally had one of these to hang my boxing bag from one of our I-beans. Worked perfect. I also use it for my TRX. I bought a second one to use both for my kiddos swing to use indoors during the cold winter months. Super sturdy and we get 3 uses out of it!

Got this for our 70lb heavy bag that we got for the kids but it seems sturdy enough to hold the big bags. Used it to hang it on the I beam in the basement and it works perfectly. The bag came with a chain and swivel so nothing else was needed. Our basement ceilings are 10 ft and the bag hangs at a perfect height for our 5, 10 and 13 year old to hit comfortably. Good because it is portable if we decide we want to move it, we won't have to drill holes in the floor joists. If you have access to an I beam, I highly recommend this.

I bought two of these for my basement and have had no issues with them at all. I use one of them for my heavy bag which is full-size and it has worked great. I have TRX straps hooked up to the other one, and that too has worked well. I have purchased other ones in the past that make a lot of noise when hitting the bag and this one is quiet, which I like. I would definitely recommend this product for people looking to hang a heavy bag or something else from an I-beam.

This little I-Beam is strong, fits tight and was super eazy to put on my steel beam in the basement. I am a part of a Mother and Son team that enjoys MMA and boxing so this I-Beam (and bag) gets a lot of kicks and punches thrown at it daily and it doesn't slide. It is really a strong I-beam my son is 6 foot 3 and about 190 pounds and he swings from the bag sometimes:).

Finally, I found a bag hanger that'll work on my 4 inch i-beam. I've got a 100lb heavy bag hanging from this. The whole setup is this: I cut up some rubber bicycle tires and used that rubber as a "pad" between this and the i-beam to prevent slipping along the beam (just cut a six inch section of tube and put it in there). I went to the hardware store and got a single link of large chain and used that to hang the bag from (carabiner under that) and tightened the heck out of everything. Hasn't moved yet.

Did the job, but a couple notes:- It does not fit a 3.5" beam very well at all. It pretty much has to be squashed all the way together, which if you are trying to put anything in between it (like a chain or hook) it will hardly fit at all and slide.- Mine was VERY poorly bent.. the top part was almost a 45 degree angle. I had to squash them in a heavy vice to get them to fit.For a couple of bent, cheap pieces of steel and a nut/bolt for this price, I would expect better quality.

The Steel I Beam heavy bag holder I received worked great and shipped as promised. When I did the first review for this product and sale I mentioned that I thought the cost for shipping was a bit high since the product is really small and does not weigh much. To my surprise a few days later I received a refund for part of the shipping cost. Service like this is something that I as a customer value and makes me much more likely to purchase products from Fight Gear again. I highly recommend Fight Gear to all people for quality products and service. Great job guys. You really scored a knockout with this one.

I bought this item to install our punching bag in the basement steel beam. I was surprised at the ease of installation and how sturdy it is. Definitely a great purchase.

This is heavy and well built. I hammered the loop a bit closer so that they fitted my beam a bit better. I then cut two pieces of garden hose as spacers on the bolt. Works great!PS Don't buy the Chinese copy of this it is rubbish.

I installed the hanger today with a 70lbs. Heavy bag. Punched the heck out of it in a 12 round workout, and it's very secure. I am just under 200lbs. And have been training and boxing amateur for 15 years. I would recommend this for anyone with a I-beam in the size recommend for the hanger.

Product works well but some modifications were necessary for a proper installation. This clamp hanger did not fit my I - beam as well as I had hoped. I added wedge shaped shims between the flange of the I beam and the clamp arms to prevent the clamp from sliding along the beam under use. Also added a length of heavy walled tubing to protect the clamp bolt threads from the swivel hanger the heavy bag hangs from.

Works great, exactly as advertised. Easy to install.
