Great Value Camera System for Homeowners
I bought this system as I was in the market to replace an old set of systems for both my parents house and my own. I stumbled across this system and decided to give it a try since the price was very fair. Its been a great system with clear picture and audio controls. The system was delivered fairly quickly via Amazon, and the packaging was clean. As I opened it up, everything was neatly packaged and organized. The cameras that came with the system was already programmed and set up. Being a plug and play was a nice feature to make the install faster. Setting up the DVR was easy with the mouse, HDMI, and Lan cable that came with it. All you have to set up is your language, time zone, and system password. I have my systems plugging in via landline for a better connection to the internet. As I plugged in each camera, it took about 45 seconds to boot up and auto-connect. The picture both day and night is very clear. Adding new cameras was very easy to do. Just plug you new camera into the DVR Lan port and power the camera on. It will take 1-2 minutes to connect. Use your mouse to click on an empty Camera screen and hit add, the new camera will pop up on the list. Just click add and thats it, the camera is programmed automatically for wireless use, simple! The App was easy to set up, I found it quickly on both the App store and the Google Play store. You do have to create an account but no credit card is required. You only have to pay if you want to use the cloud storage features but the local DVR storage is free. The app is also nice as it lets you control PTZ cameras and use the talk feature on all cameras that are compatible. My system has audio on all cameras which is a nice feature to have. The Esee cloud also has a PC app you can download and log into. I found this a very useful tool to help me program and adjust the cameras. I work better on PC then mobile. Notes: 1. The power adapters aren't really labeled but keep in mind that the biggest one is for the DVR, it is easy to confuse them. 2. Keep you cameras within 100ft of the DVR for best picture quality. Keep in mind that the more obstructions between the camera and DVR, the less the range. 3. Its best if you can keep this near a tv in case you need to make adjustments. 4. The system works better connected to internet via a landline compared to WIFI for me at least. 5. Dongle type Wireless mice do work for the DVR if you don't like an old school plug in cable mouse.

impressive with much better quality, coverage, features and more capability than my prior NVR
Very happy with my new Hiseeu NVR kit with wireless cameras. The Hiseeu was a perfect replacement to my old NVR that for some reason stopped working with the hard drive. The great thing with the Hiseeu is it came as a complete package which included the hard drive, and the hardware I would need to get the cameras mounted. The setup was very easy as the NVR was ready and quick to display the camera videos once they were powered on. These cameras are so much better with their video quality than my prior ones. I also like some features I've discovered to use like the light alarm where when it detects motion will flash a light which is a great feature at night. There's other features I've yet to use but it's good to know there are more capabilities. The only difficulty with the setup was I wanted the NVR to connect to the router (to get out on the internet) using wired rather than WiFi. I would imagine most people would be satisfied with the NVR connected to the router via WiFi but I really wanted it as a wired connection like my old NVR was. That's when I discovered the Hiseeu wasn't compatible with my network hub/switch that I ended up connecting directly to the router's port and I got the connection I wanted to work, The other great thing with the Hiseeu NVR is that it works with the EseeCloud app I've used before adding to the simple convenience of this NVR replacing my old one. And finally one great bonus was the Hiseeu NVR kit I bought only had 4 cameras to replace the old kit I had which only supported 4 cameras, but the Hiseeu has the capability of supporting up to 16 cameras if I really needed more coverage. And it turned out that the NVR also supported the Hiseeu solar cameras which is what I needed in one area I needed coverage where there's no power outlet, yet there's plenty of sunlight. In all everything worked out well for my Hiseeu NVR that not only did it replace my old NVR, but it gave me better quality, coverage, features and more capability than before, and it was so easy to do with very reasonable cost.

The first thing I noticed was the NVR sounded like something was loose
I read through the reviews and still decided to take the chance. The overall rating was very high, although there was some very concerning ones in there that were 1 star. The first thing I noticed was the NVR sounded like something was loose. I looked closer at the front left side of the NVR. It looked all scratched up and used. It did not have a new appearance. The right side had the plastic on it covering the firstrend logo and power/record indicators. It was peeled off at the edges too. It did not have a new look. This started to make me a little sketchy. Mouse and mouse pad were new. Instruction booklet looked used. Sucked like everyone said. One of the camera power cords was zip tied from being repackaged. I went to hook up the VGA cable, and one of the bolts on the back of the NVR for it was loose. While inspecting the NVR a little closer I realized that 2 of the bolts for the hard drive were not even tightened down. You could see the excess threads protruding down through the bottom of the NVR. That was the sound of something loose I heard when I removed it from the box. To top everything off, when I set up the system online with Denale, It synced the NVR to someone else’s email. Why you may ask? Because it was already sold and returned. I spent $629 for the 1080p 8 camera setup. I almost forgot to mention that the power and record lights would not even light up on the NVR. I wanted a brand new system. They seem to take returns and cobble together systems to resell. They get thrown in the mix. They obviously sell new systems and they are good. They tried to pass the buck on me. Buyers beware

WiFi NVR and 4 WiFi Cameras. The kit comes with a little wired mouse for control and configuration of the NVR (no keyboard is needed for anything). An Ethernet cable is supplied (so you can connect to your router if you want it hardwired; not needed if you don’t want to connect, or want to use WiFi to connect). An HDMI cable is also supplied (you will need to connect to a monitor or TV to setup the NVR). The back of the NVR also has a VGA connection (but there is no cable) if you want to use that instead of HDMI. Each camera came with everything you need to mount it (screws, plugs, a stick-on drilling template etc.), as well as its own 12v power adapter. I replaced a 3 year old (3 MP) system I had (a different brand). The NVR software on the new one seems like it was derived from the same roots, but is definitely a lot cleaner to use. Capability-wise you can control many things (like whether to use the white or infrared LEDs at night, whether to send an alarm when a humanoid is detected, how that alarm is handled (flash lights, run siren, send an email, or notify on the app), and a bunch of other things. The “humanoid detection” (on its initial, default settings) isn’t perfect. It generally does seem to detect people, but will also trigger with moving bushes etc. I haven’t played with the sensitivity settings, so maybe this can be improved. I did use the masking feature it has that allows you to configure certain parts of the image (e.g. where you have trees and bushes) to be ignored for motion detection. Note that all of these settings are per camera – so you can use different settings for each camera. Cameras are actually 2880x1620 Resolution (which is a little under 5MP, but close enough). Like a lot of other Wifi security system cameras, FPS (frames per second) is 15. Cameras have 2 way voice (so microphone and small speaker built in), and a huge number of LEDs (white and infrared), which is nice. As configured out of the box, the 1 TB hard drive records a little over 3 weeks of video with 4 cameras (before it starts to overwrite the oldest stuff). Opening the box to replace the harddrive (with a bigger one) is pretty easy, but it does look like you can have only one harddrive (i.e. you cannot ‘add’ another - you have to replace the existing one). The NVR runs its own WiFi network, specifically just for the cameras (so they don’t appear on your own home network). Things are a bit more secure this way. The cameras were all pre-configured , so connected automatically to the associated NVR when powered up. I believe that cameras and their network are 2.4 and 5.8Ghz frequency – which is good, many cameras are just 2.4 ghz. Quality-wise I had no issues. Everything was obviously new and properly packaged. The cameras seem well made. The white parts (body, base, connecting arms) are all metal (except for the small speaker, underneath), and the black piece at the front may be metal also (I couldn’t really tell). Initial setup of the NVR software was pretty quick and painless. However, afterwards I noticed the network region had defaulted to MKK (should be FCC for Canada). I didn’t like that the app seems to steer you towards buying cloud storage. One of the reasons I got this kit is that I don’t want to depend on (or pay for) cloud storage. Still, you can just ignore those options. Other than that, the app seemed to work just fine for remotely accessing my cameras. Note that if you don’t want to use the app (i.e. you will access all video recording through the screen/TV physically attached to the NVR), then you don’t have to connect your NVR to your home network (and the internet), thus making it even more secure. Considering the system’s capabilities, this kit is very inexpensive. Pleased with it so far.
