How do you wind it? One wooden clock I have requires shifting gears and then awkwardly cranking a gear.

Please be advised that in order to wind up the clock, pull down the left thread while holding the weight (it must be filled with any loose substance (such as sand, fine gravel, soil, etc.) in the amount of 2.645 +/-(0.11) pounds). Also, please feel free to refer to the "User Guide.pdf" file in the "Technical Specification" section on the product detail page, it is a very detailed assembly guide that will give you an understanding of the assembly process of the Wall Pendulum clock model even prior to purchasing; it also contains Potential issues and Solutions for this wood pendulum model. The clock must be hanged at a height of no less than 2 meters or 79 inches. Make sure the clock hangs vertically without being uneven! clock speed, I bought this clock and adjusted the pendulum all the way down, it still runs fast, is there any other way to adjust the speed?

Insert approx 1 1/2 inch length of wood into bottom section of pendulem and copy adjustment holes. You need approx 2 1/2 lbs. of weight on power chord. Too much wt. runs fast.

I can’t get the 2 top pieces aligned properly so pendulum starts it never catches to move the wheel. When I manually move wheel everything works. Help

Unfortunately, I have the same problem. As I was doing all these adjustments, the clock numbers were falling off so I glued them back in. I wish I could help if I were able to have help for me as well. Wood Trick has been communicating with me but I still have the problem in getting the clock to work. I do not think I am the only one is having this problem. It would help, greatly if Wood Trick would have a separate video to troubleshoot. They did do a good thing by adding a very long video on assembly which helped. It is the end result of getting the clock to function , is the problem. All I know is this. Wood Trick mentioned that the weight of the gravel is extreamley important and not to get the correct weight for the pendulum to function can cause problems of adding stress on the clock. That is about all I can say about it. It looks good on the wall even if the clock does not work. Of course, I want it to work. I hope I answered your question which I cannot give a good answer.

Can you set the time or are the gears fixed in place once built?

Hello Mike, thank you for contacting Wood Trick! Please be advised that you can set the time once the clock is built. In order to set the time, remove the part shown in Picture 1 (page 21 of the assembly instructions) and move the anchor towards the clock face. Next, set the time rotating the lower gear as shown in Picture 3 (page 21 of the assembly instructions).
