Hard to find spice smells and tasts good - worth the purchase. Then I went to Armenia and brought some back smelled and taste the same.

I like buying spices on Amazon. Quite a big choice. They are always fresh and the quality is perfect.

It arrived in one day as said. I removed the outside, clear plastic and then the cap. Under the cap covering, the bottle is a cover made of a Styrofoam like covering, which is usually attached to the bottle. This covering was loose and not attached. Perhaps this is why the mahleb had little to no aroma. I will try it and see the results and read it right back to you again. I am using the mahleb on CHOREG Armenian Easter bread. I am hoping it will turn out well, but if not, then I will be expecting another bottle that has a closed seal to it and perhaps that will make the difference. Thank you.

I used this product to make arras, a holiday bread in Syria. The bread came out as usual except for the aroma I am used to. I will add extra for next batch to see if that works better. Otherwise, the product seemed fresh, clean, well grounded and the expected aroma was faint.

Thought this because I had been sent a selection of pastries and wanted to be able to recreate them myself.
