So far so good still getting g used to it and it’s pretty awesome to show off the past.

As far as the larger digital frames go, this one has a nice 16.7" screen and a clean, modern frame plus a small integrated matte. You can read about all the "normal" features in the description or in other reviews. I will focus solely on details that matter to me that weren't mentioned elsewhere. My intended application was to wall mount this frame flush to the wall, but I ended up with a nice, "semi-flush" mounted finished project. For some context, I am a photographer and also an avid DIY-er, with experience in construction, electrical, and woodworking. If you're interested in a clean wall-mount installation, you'll want to read this. Here's a list of the things I didn't see elsewhere: 1. The screen is plenty bright and clear, however, the firmware lacks the ability to adjust color temperature, tint, and contrast. It only has a brightness control (that is pretty effective.) 2. The screen's color temp is too cool for me to love it. It's OK, but I must admit, I'm a bit disappointed here, although currently not enough to return it. I'd like to see a firmware update that includes these features so the user could better tune the color. By way of comparison, I have another (smaller) frame from the same company that has a more neutral color temp. 3. The design of the enclosure doesn't allow for a flush mount to the wall, without extensive work. What I mean by this is that the back is a flat rectangle in the middle, but then the plastic angles out all the way to the edge like a pyramid. It's designed to hang so that it looks like it's floating about an inch off the wall. It would be really great if this were manufactured in such a way that the "guts" of this frame, and the "picture frame" parts were separate, which would allow for more custom framing options as well as more in-wall mounting options. 4. The size of the AC adapter that is included is too large to fit inside of a standard, recessed duplex receptacle, even if it were to cover both outlets. I would have preferred it to be about 20% smaller in every direction, or better yet, a standard USB cable where I could at least use one of the 100 charging blocks I already have that would have fit. 5. The firmware has a really great feature that can shut the frame down by monitoring motion, except it only works within about 5 feet of the frame. Since this frame is larger than many, this should probably be tuned to a larger area. Even when I'm in the same room (and moving) it will shut off as if I'm not there because I'm about 8 feet away from it at my desk. Luckily, it also has a built-in timer, which gives me an acceptable "plan b" for power management and a "hands-off" approach. 6. I prefer a longer cycle time with my images to have more of a "photo on the wall" look rather than a "screen saver" look. The firmware allows multiple settings, but unfortunately, the longest setting for an image is 5 minutes. I would like to see an update that allows 10, 15, 20, 30, and 60 minute interval options.

From the time I started the set up wizard, I knew it wasn’t going to be good: two useful steps in and there were 4+ steps that you couldn’t even accomplish, and they were just reiterated in the phone app. When trying to connect a device to the frame, you have to have a connection code or QR code, which, conveniently, mine didn’t generate (see pictures above.) As a software engineer, I tried all of the troubleshooting steps you normally take: try regenerating the code, check for updates, try emailing to add a user, reset to factory through the software, and hard resetting via the physical button on the bottom; All of this to no avail. The software won’t update, the emails won’t send, the frame doesn’t set back to factory, and I can’t change any of the personalized settings. The 1 star I gave in most categories is because I haven’t even been able to see a picture, let alone set up the device. This is an extremely poor quality frame. I am waiting for an answer back about my inquiry concerning these issues, and if I don’t receive one VERY soon, I will be sending this back. DO NOT BUY. Pay the extra money for a nice smart frame, don’t fall for this cheap price: it is that way for a reason!

EDIT** seems like server was overloaded, the frame works much better now and my MIL loves it. We can send her photos now! We got this for a Christmas present. Tried to set it up and it is the biggest pile of junk we have bought on Amazon. This should be pulled. Before you buy, go read the reviews on the VPhoto app itself. Nothing but 1 stars lately. And for good reason. All this device and app does is connect to Wifi. After that, nothing at all. Can't add users to the device or create users on the app. Makes this useless. Look elsewhere. Luckily we can return it. Nothing about this product is useful.

Got this about a month ago or so, It was quick and easy to get it going. I plugged it in, turned it on, connected it to the WiFi, downloaded the BSIMB app on my Android phone, confirmed my photo frame ID, and sent my pictures from my phone to the photo frame through the app. Because it is a touch screen I was done in 5 minutes. I like the other features it has such as the motion sensor (which you can set to how long you want the slide to run), the calendar, the time/alarm clock, the weather display, and the music player. Only thing that could have been better is if the video clips would play along with the picture slide. You have to go to the video folder and play the slide of videos by itself. Also the picture quality is good but not great and the sizing of the pictures is a downfall. Trying to see the pictures if full screen doesn't show the whole picture, so I just use the normal setting. Other than that, this is a good photo frame to have. This is my first digital photo frame I have ever bought so I can't compare it to other ones out there so I gave it a 5 star rate. Hope this helps!

4 stars for the service of Amazon. Minus two stars for missing remote controls. I ordered this and it did not have a remote control. Wonderful Amazon sent me a new one the next day, (even before UPS had picked up the first one). And that one did not have a remote control. So back it goes. I am disappointed because it looked perfect. Great size.
