Metra MC918-20 20-Feet Nine-Conductor 18 AWG Twisted Multi-Use Cable

It's a Metra product, so you know you're getting quality products. Used 2 runs of these for my speaker amp connections since i didn't want to jam it under a glove box and never be able to adjust it plus the head build up. Running it to the rear of the vehicle allows MUCH more airflow as well as actually being inside climate controlled cabin. (In a truck, not a trunk)

I cut two lengths of this cable to connect my car’s head unit to an amplifier under the passenger seat and the amplifier back to the speaker harness. The cables are about as thick and flexible as a 14-gauge extension cord. This is definitely a faster and cleaner alternative to multiple pairs of speaker wire. I would absolutely use this Metra cable again.

Perfect solution to add a 5-channel amp (if compatible) using high level inputs from the factory headunit rather than adding a Line Output Converter to a bundle of RCA low level cables. Using a harness adapter, I soldered two sets of this 9-conductor speaker wire; first from headunit output to amp high level input and second from amp speaker output back to the factory speaker harness that was disconnected. This worked well with upgrading the stock audio on my 2021 Toyota Tacoma. Only needed 10-ft of the 9-conductor speaker wire via the center console to under the driver seat.

Makes connecting door speakers to your amp so easy. Takes the hassle out of having to run new wiring from the speakers by allowing to to tap into the factory wires via the aftermarket harness. Wires are color coordinated exactly like the harness. Even has the amp turn on wire in the bundle. Plan it out because the wire bundle is a little bulky and can be hard to hide depending on vehicle. You won’t regret the purchase

Great product and still using it works wonderful

This snake is just perfect!! It’s convenient that it comes with a Remote Turn-On cable, I didn’t need it but it’s a bonus that it’s included. Easy to work with, flexible, I totally recommend this to anyone who needs to run an amp for their speakers or anything really!!

I removed the shielding in order to remove a wire I didn’t need, In doing so I noticed the wire inside is barely twisted, twist rate was maybe 1 twist per foot, point of it being twisted wire is to mitigate distortion, at that rate I don’t believe it would be effective. I used mines to send signal to an amplifier so trying to eliminate distortion was priority so I chucked mines in a drill and twisted them in pairs before wrapping it in tesa tape. End result no distortion.

Made running signal to my speakers so easy! From my amplifier (P1000X5) to the factory harness to power all 6 speakers (Infinity REF-9630CX/Pioneer TS-S062PRS up front and Pioneer TS-D1720C in the rear). Very clean install. Clean, noise-free signal.
