I marked 1-star on the ease of installation, but this was no fault of the product, but rather of the design of the engine compartment on which I installed them (2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac). Had the engine compartment been roomier, or better-designed for removing the valve covers, this would have been easy-peazy. It was amazing how supple the new gaskets are compared to the ones I removed (which were hard and brittle). These stopped my oil leaks (which were fairly significant before the replacement). Didn't need any specialty tools to replace, but some specialty tools might have made the replacement easier (I think I did have to go to town to buy a deep socket, but that was only about $5 or so). Again, it depends on the engine compartment. They have been in my engine now for about a year, and I have no complaints.

They work as intended. It took me a good bit of time to clear everything out of the way to remove the head cover on the driver’s side, but once I got in there and installed the new gasket, sealed her back up—no more leaks, no oil seepage. The gasket install itself is pretty straightforward, but getting access definitely requires some elbow grease, patience, and persistence. I’d recommend picking up some MAF cleaner or general automotive sensor cleaner while you're at it. You’ll be unplugging a good number of sensors during the job, and cleaning them while you're in there is just solid preventative maintenance.
