You cannot beat these hats for a good looking casual hat that is awesome for protecting your head and neck from Sun! You can shape the Brim in any way you want for the look you want. I bought a hat almost identical to this one in Hawaii 8 years ago. I have taken that hat around the world and was my favorite Beach, Pool, and Boat hat. That hat has finally reached its service life and served me well. Gotten wet many times but now the straw getting a bit too flimsy so needed a replacement. I ordered this one and it just arrived today and is perfect, almost identical down to the metal icon on the front of the band (now corroded on my old one). In the photo My old one is on the left, and the new one from Amazon on the right. I still need to shape the brim to give it that Country Boy look but I think you can get it. We'll see how well it wears but out of the box it gets 5 stars from me so far. I just noticed my old one was Peter Grimm brand on the headband inside, and the new one no brand so guess generic is how you get a great price.

I ordered this hat for a river rafting trip. It showed up with time to spare and worked perfectly. The Lightweight straw material held up well and never got too hot. It took repeated blastings from the water guns and super soakers employed during the trip and not only helped protect my face from the assault but took it like a champ. The stretch-to-fit band on the inside was comfortable and helped the hat stay put. And the lanyard kept it secure when we were buzzed by a helicopter. Everyone's hats went flying but mine. It's almost like it was designed for the river. Also I have a massive cranium and most one size hats don't usually fit me, but this fit perfectly. Great, cool sun protection, perfect for the beach, river, lake or whatever else you're up to.

Wasn't sure if this would fit my head but it has an elastic band that made it fit to my head PERFECTLY and stay fit no matter how much I sweat. (I wear this to the pool, also wear it when working in the yard). Lanyard is handy; can either use it or tuck it up top when not in use. Wire frame around perimeter helps rim hold shape and also allows you to reform if it gets dented. I got almost a years worth of hard use out of this before it just got too ratty due to my own lack of care. I like it!

This is a great hat. I bought it for use with a Halloween costume--so to be honest I only really wore it once as it really doesn't fit into my daily style, but I was completely satisfied by it's quality and look. There is some debate as to whether or not this hat is for men or women, but as a dude I'll say I think it could work equally well in either situation and should probably just be labeled a unisex hat. It has a really convincing weathered look. Also, I have a very large dome and was very happy that this fit onto my head (snugly but it has a little give) whereas many hats in this style sit awkwardly on top of my head as I can't truly "put it on."

I loved the look and fit of this hat - I wore it to the beach and it provided amazing sun coverage too! But sadly, it is not lasting long. The edges are already unraveling and I’ve only had it about a month at this point. I would give it a 5 if it held together better!

I can’t believe this hat was mailed to me in this condition, and I am so sad because I bought it to wear to a rodeo in a couple of days and now I can’t. The box it came in was fine, so the condition of it can’t be blamed on packaging or shipping. FIt is completely misshapen, and even if it weren’t, the metal piece on the front is horribly off-center and can’t be adjusted. This is absolute trash, and now I have to go out of my way to return it.

I found one of these hats smashed flat between 2 boxes in a barn decades ago. I straightened it out, knocked the dust off and put it on. I wore it for years until I lost it in a move. A few years later our property was flooded. I found it again clearing out debris after the flood. Unfortunately, I was unable to salvage it. It was a sad day. A few weeks ago I was looking through some old pictures and saw the hat. I decided it was time to find a new hat. After a spending a few minutes online I found the hat! I now have a new hat! Happy day!

I love this hat, wear it all the time. Bought to replace my precious straw hat that lasted me well over 5 years. The neck tie is a little wonky and not centered to the top brooch, but nothing that bothers me.

Bought as a gift but the recipient loved it.

Hat is tiny and does not fit the average male head. Only order if your female with a tiny head.

Having very long hair, I often have problems with hats (in the summer) being too tight, but this one I can comfortably fit right over a ponytail or a messy bun. I got compliments (from men) the first day I wore it. It came in a large box, which seemed empty, so I was baffled at first, but there it was, no crinkles or unwanted bends, in perfect shape.

If you like straw for summer like me, this is a great buy. Affordable and it holds up well to the rough handling of maintenance work in my clients' yards. I will be buying more hats for this upcoming summer and to put a smile on your face, I will admit to being referred to as a rock star while wearing one. It was so nice to hear that.
