Gotta have it for the overflow on the soaker tub. Does the job, price here was good and they had the color I wanted.

The strain kit is a perfect fit and replacement for the cheap plastic model 1599500.020. It's much higher quality and solid metal. And it's also cheaper than the garbage plastic one

First off, I am writing this review after two years of ownership. Yes, I too had the toe tapper drain problem. However, after a quick email to American Standard I received an email response with picture and written instructions and the fix took all of two minutes. 1) unscrew the mushroom top and remove the gasket. 2) unscrew the entire mechanism two or three rotations. 3) replace rubber stopper and mushroom top. Done! It's that simple. This is a lovely tub and drain combo and I will purchase again when we remodel the next bathroom.

So I need this because it's the only one for our new tub. I paid the extra money for the brushed nickel because I heard about the paint peeling on some of these and glad we did. Because the tub is right near the wall we couldn't use most of the piping and had to figure out how to incorporate pvc but it worked....kinda. We just couldn't get one to thread properly on the overflow valve but it doesn't leak. The pop up drain failed the next day but luckily someone on here has a post on how to fix it and it did take care of it so if you find the pop up drain not functioning properly there is a remedy.

The overflow section could use some refining, difficult to install in the average sized bathroom and the connection point for the overflowed and the rubber gasket dont fill me with a sense of trust.

Installed a new drop in tub which required different drain plumbing! I was a little apprehensive about it fitting but it fit like a glove! Thanks!

Bought to install in our new American Standard Evolution Tub. I only used the top portion. Everything else I used PVC. I noticed in reading a lot of the reviews that some people were having issues with the drain leaking or the pop up stopper not working as well as the unavailability of replacement parts. Not sure if anyone has tried this but you can go to any hardware store big and small and get pop up stoppers that will work with this. I am using a different stopper altogether from the one that came with it. Pop up the stopper and unscrew the top piece. Under the top is a brass screw. Unscrew it and screw in the new stopper.
