Very good book. The author explain all kinds of tips.

So ugly is the graphic, so strange is the title, and so few are the pages, that after I pulled the book from the package and looked at the cover, my inclination was to shove it back in and ship it right back to Amazon. And I would have. But I kept it because I am obsessed with learning Magento. So I sat down and read Grokking Magento cover to cover. Three times. Then I went out and breezed through my Magento Certification Exam. Beginners take note: at the time I read Grokking Magento I was beyond a Magento novice.In the world of Magento developers, Vinai Kopp is surely a master, for Vinai has created a masterful work, the first and so far as I am aware, the only scholarly, logical, understandable development book on Magento. Do not turn your nose up at the offputting title, Grokking Magento (as inviting as “Bladder Infection”), and the skeletal graphic that greets you (I am told it is a flower). Beauty lies between the covers., I can assure you.So, if your heart’s desire is to become a Magento developer, follow your dream, summon your courage, kiss this frog and you will finally meet Magento. Vinai is a true Magento guru, and not just a guru but is gifted in explaining Magento core code in a simple to understand way. The chapters give more than enough detail about each Certification Study Guide question answer. He doesn't just give the answer, but all the core code explanation to back it up. Very good book. Thanks - Vinai also has tons of great stackoverflow forum posts answers that I have used frequently. Without Vinai and Alan Storm Magento programming would be a whole lot harder. Please continue this series Vinai.

I had the immense pleasure of attending one of Vinai's courses very recently. His ability to communicate and explain things is second to none. You can appreciate his "straight to the point" educational style in this magnificient book, which contains all the necessary information without any garbage or non-related blurb.This publication is a must-have if you're serious about doing high quality Magento sites.Anxiously waiting for the rest of the books.

und für mich eines der vernünftigsten Werke zum Thema Magento. Schade das du es nur in englischer Sprache rausgebracht hast, das macht es für mich persönlich etwas weniger flüssig, auch wenn man es gewöhnt ist (musste trotzdem den ein oder anderen Terminus nochmal übersetzen :)). Was macht Teil II ;)?

Ich finde das Buch klasse und ein Muss für jeden leidenschaftlichen und versierten Magento-Entwickler. Ich kann das Buch nur jeden weiterempfehlen.
