Local shop is always trying to push easy repairs/replacements on customers unwilling to try to do it on their own. Changing/replacing the 3 part cabin air filter in a Mercedes Benz GLS550, GLS450, GL550 or GL450 (X166) is easy and only takes about 10 minutes your 1st time. This is the outer-most filter on the 3-part cabin air filter system for Mercedes Benz GL-GLS 450-550. The inner filters are sold in a 2-piece pair. Very easy to install this and save some $$. Fits perfectly and easy install. Thankfully I watched an 11min YouTube video first. Where I learned this filter is one of 3 cabin filters I needed to replace. The other 2 purchased on Amazon (as a set) are critical for eliminating cabin odors. This filter is primarily to filter debris from outside. There are 2 smaller filters that sit behind this one - they are also very easy to replace and inexpensive.

I bought this for a Mercedes Benz ML350, direct replacement with good fit. No problems at all, performs well.

This was the easiest cabin filter I have ever installed. Open the hood, twist two knobs on a beauty panel and remove the panel. Press on each side of the air box to unsnap the box and lift it up. Remove the old filter and install the new filter to the housing by simply pushing it in. Reinstall the housing to the air box. Took all of 5 minutes to do this. I like the carbon filter and baking soda features and I try to use this filter whenever I can.

This cabin filter fits the 2018 GLC43 AMG situated under the hood at the top left for the North American version of the vehicle. I watched a video online to perform the replacement and looked in the wrong spot first. Once I unlisted the screws and popped off a panel, getting to the filter was easy. Took about 15 minutes. Hopefully this will help others that don't want to get gouged by the stealership. Next up is the odd shaped in cabin filter, but that's different item.

Easy install. Fits a 2017 Mercedes GLC300 just fine. There was a terrible moldy smell coming from AC. I replaced this cabin filter in the engine along with the different internal cabin air filter and the smell was gone! Replacing myself was way easy and cheap. Under an hour for both while watching YouTube examples. The inside filter took most of my time. This one was simple. I've never done anything like this myself but I'm pumped I gave it a go. Save 300 dollars for an hour of your time.

I bought a 2016 c300 and the AC smelled really bad so I needed to try to fix it. I changed this filter which is under the hood on top of the battery along with the one for under the glove compartment and now no more smell. This fit perfectly for the replacement of the cabin filter under the hood... the one for under the glove compartment has the angle on the right... I would have loved to get this brand for this as well but could not figure it out so I went for another one on amazon... But this one was a perfect fit under the hood!
