Seriously though when this item arrived I thought I'd had a senior moment and either ordered the wrong size or the wrong item had been delivered. In my defence I had ordered the taller unit and was expecting long side bits. There were no long side bits but it was the right reference number so I thought just give it a go. I unpacked and checked all the bits, bobs, screws, dowels etc and they all seemed to be there. I even read the instructions, there's a first time for everything. The screwdriver that came with it seemed ok and as I'd forgotten where I'd left my charging screwdriver I just got on with it. I even, and this is also a first for me, got all the raw edges on the same side. Apart from my blister I had no problems at all putting this together. It's sturdy, it looks nice in the little nook I needed it for . In fact the only thing wrong with it is I didn't measure my binders that I wanted to store in it but that's my fault. Yes I would recommend this product. I may even buy a second one with bigger cubby holes you never know. To finish then, very good value for money, good looking and fits well in my nook or corner that I needed it for. Now all I have to do is fill it with proper books. Review: Good little shelf unit, easy to assemble and good value for money. - I have not had any of the problems other people seem to have been having. I can only write about my experience with this shelf unit. The item came well packaged and everything inside was undamaged. It is a simple item to assemble, just follow the instructions carefully. Once assembled the shelf unit was sturdy and rigid. Some people have commented on the holes not lining up when assembling - I did not have that problem at all, but do make sure to double check the orientation of each piece. The shelf unit looks as good as any other self assembly furniture. There were no missing screws or fitting, if fact there were a few spares left over. It only took around 30 minutes to assemble and fix to the wall. I feel that this was good value for the money, and would happily purchase another one if/when I needed more storage space. ## Features - STABLE AND SAFETY CONSTRUCTION: Made of engineered wood (E1 Grade) covered with melamine veneer, which is water-repellent, wear-proof and easy to clean, WOLTU Open Display Storage Bookcase is super sturdy and robust. I have made mine upside down and added legs to the bottom. **Q: Doors for these.** A: No doors and not really suitable to put doors on I don't think **Q: Hi. Is the width measurement correct. I literally have a 24cm gap. Thank you.** A: It is 24cm wide, but I put it into a space of 26cms, so there was room for any slight differences in the straightness of the wall. **Q: How do you attach the safety belt to the wall? Do you need an electric screwdriver?** A: My husband said there are 2 clip fitments tgat attach unit to wall for stability... u will need a drill, if into brick work u will need a masonry bit. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice little unit *by H***N on 30 July 2026* Nice little unit easy to put together and I have the blister on my thumb to prove it!! Quite simple to build and it’s stable enough however it does wobble a bit if u knock it but overall a really great item and worth the price. ## Frequently Bought Together - WOLTU Bookcase, 4 Cube Shelving Unit Storage White Book Shelf, Wooden Storage Cubes Bookcases for Living Room,Bedroom - WOLTU Bookcase, White Book Shelf 8 Storage Cubes Unit, Freestanding Bookcases for Living Room,Bedroom - Clay Roberts Storage Cubes, Storage Boxes, Pack of 4, Grey, Fabric Storage Basket Set for Storage Units, 25cm x 25cm x 25cm, Grey Storage Baskets, Storage Boxes, Storage Box, Storage Unit Cubes --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.nz/products/132194007-sk003ws4](https://www.desertcart.nz/products/132194007-sk003ws4) --- *Product available on Desertcart New Zealand* *Store origin: NZ* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
