FUNtainer 12oz. Water Bottle

This is a great water bottle. I have actually bought several of these in various designs and sizes and have loved each one. Here are some of the great features: 1. It really does keep drinks cold for up to 12 hours. If you add a couple cubes of ice or if you very slightly wet the inside and put it in the freezer for 20 seconds before filling it the cold will last even longer. This is true even on hot days. It is amazing. 2. The design is bright and high quality. The paint has not washed off after many washes. I do not put this in the dishwasher. I just wash it out by hand with little effort. 3. The cup is built for easy cleaning. The top comes off, and the straw separates from the inside so that you can pull apart the top of the straw from the bottom for easy cleaning. 4. Fits perfectly in standard cupholders. We can use it in all of our cars and the stroller with no problem. 5. The button to open the bottle is easy for my 3 year old to use (she could use it at 1 and 2 as well), but it is spill proof. Lay it on its side, hold it upside down, throw it in the bottom of the stroller or a backpack never a drop escapes. You do have to be sure to tighten the top of course. 6. Straw drinking rather than cup drinking has saved my child's clothing and my sanity :)

My kids have used 'Thermos Funtainers' for 7 years. This style does the 2 things I need - they don't leak and they stay cold until lunchtime. (My daughter even wanted to drink from hers when lunch was at home this past year, so I know they don't alter the taste of their drink.) Two of my children can't drink cow's milk so they take non-dairy milk to school, camp, or on road trips. I just ordered 1 more of these leakproof, stay-cold, beverage containers now that school is back in person; an extra so I won't have to wash them every night. BUT, I am not sure how the new handle will hold up... It seems like it's going to snap off after it gets in the way of the user too many times?? I'll update ONLY if it breaks. (Pics show the 'new handle' vs original.) The kids don't use the handle, really, but the new style is made so that if the handle breaks off it will expose 2 holes in the lid. Hints I have learned over the years: Put the empty cannister only (no lid or straw) into the fridge overnight OR the freezer for a few minutes in the morning to keep the container colder longer when on the go. Not needed, but does help if it's a hot day. Have your kid (or you) rinse out their thermos as soon as they are able when they get home. A simple flush of water - not a wasteful amount! :) - through the straw helps it from getting clogged. If you forget to do the pre-rinse then make sure you have a good straw cleaning brush or pipe cleaner. If you wash in the dishwasher, top rack only does matter and separate all 3 parts of the lid/straw every time - it will make the parts last longer.

This water bottle has stood the test of time and does not leak. Great price and easy to carry.

I was looking for a replacement water bottle for my 7-year-old. We had Hydro Flask before until he lost it. As I was browsing through different water bottles on Amazon, I noticed there are 3 different types of straws for water bottles - hard straw (like what Hydro Flask has), silicon, single-cut straw (Cambelbak uses this kind), and standard silicon straw (this is what this Thermos Funtainer uses). I am going to give you the pros and cons of each straw type. Hard Straw: Pros It's easy to clean and seals well. I didn't experience any water skills with our previous Hydro Flask. Cons This may not be a con for most people, but if you like the soft texture of a silicon straw, then you wouldn't enjoy this type of straw. Silicon, Single-Cut Opening Straw Pros It seals water pretty well, and we occasionally experience a water spill with this type of straw, but it is no big deal. Unlike the hard straw, the texture of silicon won't leave you feeling like you're biting a chunk of hard plastic whenever you drink from the bottle. Cons Because the opening is a single cut in the middle of the top end of the straw, the spout will wear out over time, and you will need to purchase a replacement. The design of the spout might be slightly difficult to clean. Standard Silicon Straw (what this water bottle uses) Pros Again, the soft texture enhances the user experience. Cons Combining a standard silicon straw and a spring-operated single-hand opening results in a water skill, should you fill water all the way up to the bottle. The opening button is cleverly designed to be sensitive (perfect for the target customers - mainly kids), but if you have a water bottle, the water will leak from the straw. We had an incident where we put the filled Thermos Funtainer in a bag together with my son's homework, and we discovered the homework was damaged by water. When I investigated further, I found this water bottle to be the cult. Overall, this is still a great water bottle. We like the quality of the brand. However, you want to consider a couple of things before making the purchase. 1. Cleaning: the straw of this bottle comes in 2 small parts. You will need a small straw-cleaning pipe to do the cleaning. 2. Size: I doubt you can fill up 12 oz of water for this water bottle, so if you're buying it for a younger toddler, this is perfect. Consider purchasing one size up for older children.

Lo usamos como cantimplora para el agua de la niña. Es fuerte, lo ha tirado miles de veces y ni un rasguño o abolladura. Lo único regular es que como todas las botellas de este tipo la boquilla es difícil de limpiar, pero no es imposible. La recomiendo

This is brilliant as my son is a Blaze fan and it’s leak proof. It’s been dropped a few times and still intact. Not used it for hot drinks only cold drinks. My only advice is to make sure you pull the straw out and clean it with a straw brush often else mould can build up inside. The straw part can be taken out and taken apart which makes cleaning easy.
