Study mount, easy but time consuming installation - be prepared!
I am NOT the most handy person, but I'm also not the least. I'd say I'm a regular Joe. So I decided to forego my TV retailer's $100 installation and do it myself. I visited two different stores to examine and play with displays and read about 50 different reviews online for mounts, so I feel qualified for this write-up. I originally wanted a "full motion" mount that could extend and pivot sideways, but every review I read had bad comments about sagging/instability, so I stuck with the simple tilt. I had just bought a brand new Vizio flatscreen that I saved up MONTHS for and it was far from cheap, so more than anything I wanted a mount that protected my investment. And I got it. This thing is solid as a rock; I bet it could hold me (180 lbs) if I hung on it. Installation took longer than I wanted (about an hour), but only because it was my 1st ever TV mounting, I was nervous, and I had to make a couple trips to Home Depot down the block to get things I didn't realize I'd need. So, in that spirit, here is some advice/hints for you. 1) FIND THE STUDS. If you don't know how, ask someone who does. I asked the guys at the Home Depot and they set me straight. My studs were 19" apart (regular is 16") because I mounted over a fireplace so they were irregular. You will 100% most definitely want to do this. 2) - It comes with a level! When drilling into wood paneling like I was, you want to get it right the 1st time, because you can't just spackle and re-paint bare wood. You have to be 1 and done, and the built-in level was really helpful for this. 3) - You need a power-drill, 3/16" bit, and a socket wrench. Drill is for pilot holes for the lag bolts, and socket wrench is to save you a lot of time and effort with the lag bolts. The lag bolts (bolts that go into the studs) are huge, and it takes some serious effort to get those puppies in - a good thing, but I did it with a small monkey-wrench and it was time consuming and tiring. When I go to remove, I will use a socket wrench. 4) - It comes with a ton of hardware you won't use. But that's a good thing, too - different TVs take different hardware to mount, so they cover all their bases. Handy. Now my TV is up and looking great, and I have 0 concern about its sturdiness. Seriously, when installed correctly, this thing is no joke. Overall - extremely sturdy mount, but be prepared with everything you need before starting the install to save a lot of time. Hope this helps you, Amazonians!

Great Mount, Great Price
My wife and I had an older Visio ~40" (I haven't measured it exactly) TV that we wanted to mount in the guest room. While not extraordinarily large or heavy, the mounting holes on the back of the television are more than 20" apart. This posed a problem for most television mounts that are made for TVs under 55". This left me with some options: either buy an expensive mount designed for large television or put the TV in garage and let it sit there. While I was OK with the second option, the wife was not. So I had to find another option, because I wasn't going to splurge on the $100 dollar mount that would fit this TV at Costco. This was that other option. I'm really handy, and I have installed TV mounts before, so this was relatively easy to install. I think the two stud mounts are easier to mount than the single stud mounts. The only thing I would advise to do is not rely solely on the built-in level. It's close, but I'm glad I checked it with my own level. I think if it were my first one I ever installed, it may have taken twice the time? It feels really sturdy, and I like that there is not a whole lot to it. If I have another television I need to install I would consider buying this one again.

Great Product!!
I am not the typical DIY kind of guy, and yet found that mounting this unit was pretty straight forward. I purchased three (3) of these units, so far I only installed one (1). The tricky part for me was to find the studs behind the wall, the stud finder I was using was somewhat misleading, but that's unrelated to this review and to the quality of the unit. The quality of the unit is great, once mounted I was able to hold my entire body weight from the bracket and felt solid, I weight 155 lbs. Mounting my 47" Vizio LCD was straight forward; I was able to mount it with the screws and bolts included in the kit. I still need to mount two (2) TVs on the wall and when I do I am going to update this review, but so far I can say this is a good value. To save me some headaches I did not use the built in level, followed the other reviewers advice. The entire process took me a bit more than an hour, but that's because I had a hard time locating the studs.

Very Good Wall Mount
This Wall Mount is an exceptional value for it's price. Quality and workmanship of the unit is comparable to units costing three times as much. Only drawback is that the TV sits about 3" away from wall, but that is due to it's tilting abilities, if you want it really hugging the wall, you will need to go with a flat mount. Tilt range is excellent, more than the claimed +/- 15 degrees with my 40" TV. You can use this to mount a TV very high if you wish. Tilt mechanism glides easily and TV stays in position even when not tightened down. Tilt lock holds position with not much tightness on knob. Tilting TV all the way up will give you ample room (5") to access inputs on back of TV This unit was purchased to mount a 40" SONY LCD TV (31 lbs) and all necessary hardware to complete installation was included. Installation instructions are straightforward with several diagrams to show how hardware should be used. There are several sizes of bolts to fit many TV's, (M4, M5, M6, and M8 in 12 and 40 lenghths, plus washers and lock washers and spacers, if needed for curved back TVs). Total install time took appox an hour from start to finish (w/o a stud finder, used the old finishing nail and hammer to locate center of studs). As many others have reported, do not rely on the bubble level on unit, it was not accurate, I used my four foot level across the top of the mount and the unit's bubble level was slightly off, it's bubble was touching the right mark at level. It is recommended to use a 3/16" drill bit to drill pilot holes, but I used a 1/4" bit and the included lag screws went into the 90 year old hardwood beams of my home securely with no problem. Make sure to install wall plate level as there's no way to adjust for level once it's installed. Mount was bolted into two wall studs w/ 4 lag screws and my 150 pound son was able to hang from the wall plate with no problems. It isnt going anyplace. Overall, a very good product and I am extremely pleased with this selection. If you're looking for a mount with good tilt range, you will not find a better option in this price range. I gave this unit four stars only because the built in level was off, had they opted to not include one, it would have received five stars easily. Hope this review helps you.

IT WORKS. GO FOR IT.
Very strong, durable, and sturdy wall mount for a pretty good price. Shipped out very fast without any issues. Took me about 45mins to an hour to install. Like other reviewers, I went to the store and bought new lag bolts rather than use the bolts in the box to be safe, but once I compared them I think the ones in the box would suffice just as well if you wanted to use them. After I placed my 51 inch flat screen on the mount I immediately became confident that it would not fall. I mean this thing is STRONG. Love the tilt because it allows me to easily plug/unplug cords without squeezing my hand between the wall and back of the T.V. If you're seriously considering buying it, I say go for it.

TV Mount
You can not beat this product for the price and quality of this item. This is not what I expected when I ordered it , I thought I was getting least expensive model. I was shocked in a good way when I opened the package and saw the wall mount. This is one nice product. Heavy duty all the way. It tilts up and down and side to side. Easy installation and works great. This is a couple hundred dollar mount to say the least. I love this product so much I will order a couple more in the future. Five stars , you can not go wrong with this item for the price and quality.

this mount is very straightforward and nice. It was easy to mount and the quality ...
With the vast amount of TV mounts out there, this mount is very straightforward and nice. It was easy to mount and the quality for the price is great. The only issue I had was that none of the lag bolts supplied (there are 4 different sizes to accommodate an array of TVs) fit my TV (Samsung 55"), so I used the largest bolts for the top and added two dummy nuts to serve as washers. So the hardest/most time consuming process for me was getting the brackets attached to the back of my TV. Mounting the stand and the TV itself was a cinch. Do yourself a favor and save $50+ and buy this mount (or the 3 wall stud version for a few $ more), you should be happy. Note to interested reader who is on the fence about buying this TV mount, I am picky as heck, hopefully that helps you make a decision.
