Good product
Wanted a product that would make it easy to wind up the garden hose when not in use, and this Yard Butler did the trick, plus I like the name, having my own Yard Butler!! It is fairly easy to install, with 2 holes on the outside edge of the mounting plate. Since this will get a lot of use, pulled on, swival, etc, I also put a 3rd bolt through the center of the mount, which does not affect the swing of the unit. I would recommned installing the 3rd bolt to ensure it is strongly secured

Changed design, near impossible to reel
I bought a Lawn Butler reel years ago and absolutely love it, so I bought a second one for the other side of the house. Unfortunately, they changed the design of the hinge, making it much weaker. On my first use, the whole unit ripped off the wall while reeling the hose because the lag bolts are too short. After installing longer bolts, it’s still near impossible to reel because of the movement between the arm and the hinge. There’s way too much play in the arm, as the hinge part does not sit tight within the arm. I tried to put in two washers to tighten the joint, but there’s still too much play. Unlike my original reel, this new design makes it so you have to reel with one hand while trying to hold the reel steady from moving up and down with the other. I’m unfortunately beyond the return window or else I’d send it back and find another option.

Can't lock in place
I mounted this to a 4x6 post but I had to drill a hole in the center of the mount so that a thru bolt could be used to mount it. The existing holes simply won't accept a large lag bolt. The major fault with the reel is that there is no way to stop the swing when pulling out the hose. The reel is sturdy enough but not the best design.

I'd recommend it. Especially compared to to others equally less expensive models
Stellar deal for the price. A bit wonky as it reels the hose out and in but with a bit of commitment it can work well. I had a few leaking issues that I corrected with trial and error but I don't think it was the fault of the reel. Kinda awkward assembly but once it was together it made sense why it had to be assembled that way. We do like it. Reel happy thus far.

Very rickety, more like a $30 hose reel.
The media could not be loaded. Very rickety, more like a $30 hose reel. Very poor quality, welds are crooked. It's just very poorly made and designed. Low hopes of it working short or long term.

Take a spin! You won’t get hosed 😉
This is the best hose reel we’ve gotten! We had been through a few unfortunately. It swivels out which helps with uncurling the hose when needed!

Not recommended. Difficult to manage
The way this is designed when you reel the hose it is not centered… It is lopsided and pulls on the wall mount and eventually rips it out of the wall… I had two 95 pound toggle bolts holding us to the wall, and they broke trying to reel this hose in. I would not recommend it.

Design Flaw
The flange that attaches to the hose is too high. It binds the hose and the hose cannot reel correctly. The swing feature is great but has not position stops so it swings arbitrarily and loosely.Still making it work because the overall idea is great, sturdy construction, and the only one of its kind to find.
