an enjoyable, unique read
Sometimes the most interesting reads come from sources that the average person doesn't get exposed to. Such is the case with this book! We get an enjoyable insiders' view of the aeronautical field. The book is well-written and covers several enjoyable items of humor. The humor is interspersed with factual tid-bits making for interesting trivia (bonus #1). Bonus #2 is provided by the mention of a few famous people that are part of the humorous events (I won't spoil it by saying who these famous people are--you'll have to read it for yourself!).I'm looking forward to sequels...

not bad…
This was a fairly entertaining and quick read… I finished it in the space of an evening…Some of the things I've heard before such as the pilot and who walks the ladies seeing eye dog before getting on the plane. I can't think of a guide dog handler who hasn't heard that particular story…I've handled guide dogs for 18 years and I don't think I would relinquish any of my dogs over to an airplane pilot or anybody else for that matter LOL although it would be kind of humorous to see how the rest of the people would act…One of the best parts about the book where the little tidbit sections that gives you little nuggets of trivia/information… Also reading about people's various miss adventures in the lavatory was humorous… Hopefully there will be another book by this author… Also she just earned a new subscriber to her podcast

Delightful Book Evveryone Should Read for a good Chuckle
Have you ever wanted to slide down the aisle of the plane on a dinner tray or want to know what happens when you race toilet paper rolls on take off. Ever wonder why there are footprints on the toilet seat? These and many other questions are answered by Betty sharing her experiences flying all over the world the past few decades. As a moderate traveler I needed a break from the technical reading I fill most of my time reading. Betty in the Sky is a great escape from the seriousness of my day to day life. Even if you don't travel this is a good, cheap read you should download and spend the afternoon reading. I laiughed my head off on several flights reading the book and sharing the stories with flight attendants. It will make you feel more like a mile high champion knowing what really goes on when you are not looking during your flight or waiting in the terminal.

Don't read this book unless you are in a place you can laugh outloud!
I have listened to most of the Betty in the Sky with a Suitcase blogs, so we bought the book. The first day we got it from Amazon my 14 year old son took it to school and came home and told me the parts that made him laugh in class. (It was in a reading class, though the teacher told him to keep it down.) He was laughing so hard he could hardly tell me. He acted out three of the stories and had me laughing uncontrollably on the couch. I finally got to read it myself and I couldn't put it down. Most of the people at work stopped to see was making me laugh. I will keep it in my desk at work and pull it out any time I need to put a smile on my face! Great book!

A bit of fun
I enjoyed this book about being an air hostess. In parts I found it hysterically funny. The stories read as if they were true and gave me a bit of incite into what goes on in an aeroplane.

'Betty' brings a special wit to her work
I've been a fan of Betty's podcast and I loved her book. At some point decades ago, flying became less of a joy and more of a chore...for workers and passengers alike. I did a modest amount of airline travel, and I've always been an airliner nut. I'm the guy who would ask to sit in the cockpit of a British Airways 777 from Boston to London (pre-9/11). I'm the guy who'd write down the registration number of each plane flown on, and record them in a log book.Betty brings such a sassy, fun wit to her work at a time where it's probably hard for ANYONE to find 'sassy wit' in the airline industry. Three cheers to Betty, for sharing her side of this business with us.
