Arrived in an envelope, so wasn’t flat.As can be seen, the actual paper inside the journal is grey (cover and object in picture are black for reference). Color is inconsistent throughout, with extra lines and blocks of area in different shades of grey.Gel pens, etc will not pop as well as they do on a true black.Definitely not a purchase that I would make again - disappointed, as understood this would be ‘black’ paper. I can deal with what appears to be a few oil patches but is on the back cover so no big deal, however I wish they where a regular notebook size is a little to wide which will make it a struggle to take anywhere.
