Llewellyn's Complete Book of Essential Oils: How to Blend, Diffuse, Create Remedies, and Use in Everyday Life (Llewellyn's Complete Book Series, 13)

I was anxiously awaiting this book to arrive expecting that there would be a ‘how to’ distill my own essential oils. The title of the book was deceiving personally. It’s just another book on ‘made’ essential oils, not the ‘how to’ as I hoped.

We are starting a body care business and wanted to study the craft as much as possible and learn all we can to ensure to we creating quality products. This book has taught me so much about the different uses of oil. But not just uses, but the proper way to use them and how to extract my own oils. The fact that there are recipes is for different skin conditions is a great plus. The best part about this book is it tells you the ways to combine the different oils and what each oil pairs with the best. I don't read the book to critique how it's written or language used. I am not an editor. It has provided alot of educational value which is more important. This author saved me hours of searching the internet and gave more informational value then I would have known to even look for. We see ways to create products for issues we had not even considered so for that we give it 5 stars.

So initially, this book is by a pretty renowned witchy author, I was under the assumption that it would also have the magical properties as well but it doesn’t BUT it gives you great pointers on how to buy credible essential oils and what exactly makes a credible oil both essential and carrier. It gives super simple tables that give you the measurements of how to formulate SAFE blends it even goes into what herbs to stay away from with certain health issues AS WELL as what herbs can be dangerous for children ( given age and all) It gives great recipes there’s even a recipe for hangovers ! You’ll be shown how to make all sorts of things and super easy. If you take anything from this review please buy this book read it and study it before you learn the magical properties I promise it won’t disappoint

The fact that this book comes from a series of books that are already amazing in their own rights, this book is heaven-sent for me because I was looking for a book that will be my intro to essential oils. As a practicing divination mage, I also want to start including essential oils into my healing practice as well as my divination. I found this oracle deck in which the essential oils give the messeges. And I knew then that working with essential oils gets me rooted and connected into my Earth element. This book contains information for beginners and experienced practitioners and there's definitely something in this book that will be of great help into your adventure with essential oils and its gifts.

This Llewellyns is a really comprehensive collection of information for any essential oil lover. This is one of my go to books when I'm working on things.

This is a wonderful guide to essential oils especially if you have no previous knowledge however, I'm a visual person so, I'd appreciate to see pictures (there are none in this book).

Back to front upside down and pages missing .. I think it could have been a good book .. asked for it to be refunded and collected .. shame
