A: About 5 1/4" to 5 1/2" from center to center of bolts

A: it is stationary. Bar does not rotate

**Q: how long is the mounting base? I'm trying to figure out if I will be able to mount on one of my main supporting beams.**
A: The base that has the two mounting bolts are 7.5" long. And just over 2" wide. We mounted to our existing floor joists, that are above our heads in the basement garage.

**Q: What's the length of the ceiling/wall bracket?**
A: About 4-5 inches
