I’m so glad I saw a review on here that said this dispenser worked well and I decided to get it. To everyone saying that it doesn’t work well, they obviously have no idea how to use one. This thing works GREAT!! And the tape that comes with it is thick and WILL HOLD. I used this to pack all my boxes when moving and noticed that it was a little more difficult to cut the tape but that’s because the tape is good quality. Definitely would buy again 5 stars!!

Just got it the other day and boxed about 1000 boxes for the church fund raiser. It works like a dream. Left or right hand - it don't matter. Lighting fast tape doesn't fall off the roll like my old one. One day we were on a scaffolding and the principal asked us to tape the windows around the outside of the air condition. Well, anyway - I wish I had this tape gun with me that day. Well, let me tell you. The old cheap tape gun we were using broke in such a way the tape went flying down to the sidewalk - we were on the 5th floor scaffolding. It bounced off Mrs Crabtree car in into the gym where the kids were placing hockey so - we left it alone, they couldn't tell the difference being the were more interested in Basketball

*INTRO* I know tape guns. I use tape guns. Tape guns work. Tape guns are loaded with tape on a roll. Tape guns allow a user to unroll, apply, and cut a length of tape. *HEADLINE* THIS TAPE GUN does not work. THIS TAPE GUN does not allow for unrolling, applying, or cutting tape. I do not believe it is of poor design or quality. In fact, the only way something could be this atrocious and disastrous IS BY DESIGN. *HISTORICAL ANALYSIS* A person of pure evil and mad intentions went into a meeting at some point and said: "Let's build a tape gun that looks like a quality tape gun... but after the purchase when they try to tape boxes.... Muahahhah!!!! (evil laugh) Then! And ONLY THEN, will they realize that THIS IS NOT A TAPE GUN at all! We will build this to keep the tape stuck so you cannot even dispense tape (evil laughing and joy)... and EVEN IF YOU COULD UNSTICK THE TAPE FOR A MOMENT, this thing WILL NOT CUT TAPE! We will build it with a blade that counterintuitively retracts and does not make contact with the tape to cut it. Muahahahaha!!!!! THIS WILL BE THE MOST EVIL TAPEGUN OF THEM ALL!!" (echos, laughter, and chanting). *WHY IS THIS THING SO RIDICULOUSLY AWFUL?* 1 - THIS TAPE GUN has a springloaded metal tape guide that only functions to attracted and stick the tape. Either you spend each moment unsticking the tape or awkwardly using the tape gun in an insipid manner in a feeble attempt to avoid the dreaded, rage-inducing METAL TAPE GUIDE stick. 2 - THIS TAPE GUN has a cutting blade that is retracted by default. IT WILL NOT CUT THE TAPE. After the tape moves past the roller, it does not touch the cutting blade and goes on forever until it sticks to the METAL TAPE GUIDE again. The blade is part of a mechanism that is triggered by pressing the TAPE PRESSING WIPER at the very top. You have to contort your self and use your fingers to forcefully press the tape against the blade AND YOU MIGHT get it to cut.... I buy everything on Amazon. I never write reviews. Words cannot do justice to how awful this tape gun is or the frenzy of madness and indignation it causes by spectacular failure. DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU HATE YOURSELF.

This is one of the better packing tape dispensers. If you have ever used one, you know they can be a real pain. The 3M one generally doesn't let the roll slip, it turns smoothly, and it cuts pretty well. It's not a miraculously better tape dispenser, but it gets the job done.

Dispenser is easy to use, I like the handle and the feel while holding it in my hand, unlike some lightweight flimsy dispenser that I bought previously and broke in less than a year. Overall a great buy, comes with 2 extra thick packing tapes which alone cost more money than the dispenser if bought separately. Some people complaint about it being difficult to cut the tape, you really have to tilt the cutter at 90 degrees in order for it to work correctly. No issues for me, this is after all a wonderful deal. Will buy another one for my office.

Having used these tape dispensers for 25 years, I bought this new one but found that it has been redesigned and does not work well to cut the tape. I will now look for another model.

Está hecho de materiales resistentes si tiene plástico pero de buena calidad firmes, tiene una parte que evita que la cinta se separe del rodillo y tiene un soporte de metal sobre la parte plástica que sirve para tensar la cinta al momento de cortar por lo que puedes cerrar firmemente cajas sin temor a romperlo como pasa con otras marcas. Quality of tape is decent , but the cutter doesn't work. Thought the tape itself was too thick to be cut, tried it with a thinner tape, the cutter still doesn't work :(

I bought this for the dispenser and it was completely useless. It has a stupid safety mechanism (as if a 4 years old will be taping boxes or something) and it makes it completely useless as it means you're never able to cut the tape because of it. It could theoretically be modified to force the mechanism to always keep the blade out, but why bother when you can just use a proper dispenser instead? Going right to the trash since I didn't use it during the return period.
