Tempest: (The Raveneau Novels, Book 4) Paperback – April 19, 2013

Love all the Raveneau books!! This series could just go on and on for me!!! From Ande and Devon and their children to this one!! Maybe there'll be more???

Pirate treasure and love mix in this tale of two star crossed people who in the end realize the real treasure is their love for each other. It helps that old hurts and betrayals are overcome. Very good story and satisfying ending.

This was a very interesting read. Definitely five stars had explicit sex been omitted. One can describe love without invasion of private moments. The attitudes and emotions of the characters and pirates history made for an enjoyable story. Very different from others written about the era.

This is the second time reading it.. I had forgotten or missed some of it before. The characters are endearing , they each had to lean how to turkey love one another. It was a journey!

I must say, dictatorial mothers are the worst. When Kathy was born, her mother determined that she would marry a duke. All her schooling was designed with that in mind. Then on day Kathy realized that she was no longer going to allow her mother to force her disastrous will upon her. Wait until you see what good it did her!?

Money can cause as many problems as it helps.Catherine comes from a wealthy New England family.Her whole life was led by her mother’s desires to marry into English aristocracy.Adam had a title but no funds due to gambling but an estate in Barbados.Is there any way these two can find true love and a possible marriage.

Two wounded young people struggle to find worth after much pain in their lives. A long road of misunderstanding and painful learning bring them finally to the love they thought they lost.

I really enjoyed this book. It had a great story with very well developed characters. It had enough twists and turns to keep your interest all the way through.

I felt really sad at the beginning of this book which was the last in the set.... mainly as the grandson had a whole lot of problems to sort out through his gambling.... I got so annoyed with him, but then fell in love with him like I did all the other male characters in the previous books. Didn't realise when I started that there are 10 books which follow 3 families through 400 years.... starting with The St. Briac Novels, followed by The Beauvisage family then The Raveneau family who are the Sea Fairers. Each family plays their part in each family history through out the time span . All of these books are well researched (locations, manners of the times etc).... and so well written, that you feel you are actually there, smell the smells and see the sights. I adored all the characters, locations and adventures. Truly worth reading.

I have dearly loved the series of books which have recorded the history of the Beauvisage and Raveneau families. What more could you ask for, swashbuckling adventure and romance a plenty but each story so individual. And even when the story crept into the 20th century there was enough history to let you still feel the history without being overtaken by modernity. Thank you so much, just sorry to let them l go now.

Well written story, loved the setting of their married life. The tangled story of their marriage, the ups and downs interwoven with his past adds spice with pirate takes of treasure.

I have enjoyed reading this series of books. Adam's story finishes off the series, and for me was not as captivating as the stories of his ancestors, Andre and Devon through to Nathan and Adrienne. His character was not as well rounded as those in the previous novels, which was a slight disappointment. I am glad I read it though.
