Fabulous apricots: eat, share, repeat.
Organic apricots, arrived bulk in a blue plastic bag sealed in a cardboard box. I immediately divided the order into 1/2 gallon mason jar, a recycled glass qt jar and 2 16 oz plastic containers. Of course I sample the "cots" immediately & they were delicious, albeit a tad chewy, which is great for jaw exercises. I brought the 2 16oz containers into work to share w/my co-workers & they were a "hit". Very glad to have discovered these dried apricots from CA.

More cots! It took 50 years for me to learn I cannot EAT all at once..
First few were a bit tasteless, looked perfect, colors perfect, gooey texture, seemed all flavor was missing, like it had been steamed and flavors evaporated off .. disappointed as my taste Love has always been Apricots. All over the World, first in Australia, then Asia, Europe, Turkey, now California. I think what we get is that.. A big blue bag of slightly cooked Apricots, left in bag to reabsorb all the flavor. Once we dig deeper, it was like there was a film sprayed over the Apricot cube, to stop it sticking to the bag. Some of the flavor is masked by that sprayed on oil-like film. Digging further into the cube, the Apricots are heavenly. Take great CARE and SKILL not to eat too many. 5 to 10 are my personal Daily limits. Like eating perfectly Ripe Apricots, only shrunk down with 100% no yuck guarantee. Better than best sugar candy. This stuff is the real deal .. 100% delicious, truly Best in the World for value, taste, texture, speed of delivery and best of all, shear culinary ecstasy. CAUTION - Do not overeat, will cause bloating and possible wind.

Quality California dried apricots
I grew up when the South Bay of California was still largely fruit orchards. My grandfather would take me in mid-late July, near the end of the apricot season, to buy crates of apricots at throw-away prices. Then we would spend the next 3-4 days feverishly slicing, pitting and dehydrating them. These dried apricots take me back to those days. The mix is excellent, with some being exceptionally sweet and some being tangy. Some are drier and some moister, some are soft and some are chewy -- in other words, they are just like nature makes 'em. On the whole they are superior to those offered by TJ, having more flavor and a better ratio of sweet and tangy. Most of the negative comments I have read on here involve not reading the information (yes, they contain sulfites), or objecting to the variability in taste and texture of actual, natural dried fruit. However, if you know what a California apricot is, and aren't terrified of a non-heavily processed food, then you will not be disappointed in these.

Has artificial coloring agent
This has sulphuric dioxide. I wanted to return it but could not do so because of non return policy.

Great in the past - this time no flavor
I have really liked my past orders of this product - the apricots have been very flavorable and fresh. Although this 2lb bag of apricots is fresh tasting they have absolutely no flavor - no apricot taste - no flavor at all - just chewy orange globs with a hint of sulfur.

Fantastic
I love dried apricots. They are my favourite dried fruit ... if done properly, and apparently (since I've tried many brands) it's not easy to get the perfect dried apricot. FYI I don't like Turkish apricots as IMO they have little flavour and are like biting into a sponge. Even though these Traina apricots are dried, they are not fossilized. I've had some dried apricots that seem to have little flavour or moisture. These Traina apricots are fantastic. They are still quite thick, moist and chewy. There's a tartness too which wakes up the taste buds. I use them for snacks and hiking. I've had these three months, sealed and resealed in the bag and they are as good as the first day I got them.

DELICIOUS! Highly recommend.
These are absolutely delicious, moist and beautiful! The first order I received was very dry and bitter. I reached out to customer service and they apologized and said they’d send me a full replacement. It took a while, I sent another message to remind them. I received the new order and they are perfectly great. At least they are willing to replace the bad product at no additional cost to me. So if you get a bad batch, contact them immediately.

Tasty but drier than I like
This is my second shipment of these dried apricots. The first shipment was really terrific, and five star all the way. The fruit in this shipment are still tasty, but they are drier than the first, and drier than I like. Not sure if this is last year's crop or this year's crop. I also purchased a shipment of their dried peaches. The peaches were still really great five star quality.
